Sign-ups for the Tetris Effect: Connected World Championships are now open!



Enhance proudly announces that registrations for the 2022 Tetris® Effect: Connected World Championship (TECWC) events are now open. For the tournament’s second year, we’re mixing up the action with two events designed to appeal to the competitive and casual Tetris communities and all skill levels: the Tri-Effect-A and Connected 2022.

[h3]TRI-EFFECT-A[/h3]

Things kick off with the Tri-Effect-A, a tournament that will test players' skills in three of Tetris Effect: Connected’s multiplayer modes: Zone Battle, Classic Score Attack, and Score Attack. High placement in a game mode bracket qualifies the player for the multi-mode main event to crown the true all-around Tetris Effect: Connected World Champion! Each game mode will have a separate bracket divided into tiers based on skill level. Participants of the Tri-Effect-A event will compete for over $2,000 in prizes and giveaways!

Sign-ups are available now at www.tetriseffect.game/tournaments, which also contains additional information on match formats, rules, prizing info, and more.

The tournament will be run via the Enhance Discord (https://discord.gg/enhance), where players can find their matches, watch streams and speak to tournament staff. Matches will be broadcast in English on the CTWC Twitch channel (https://twitch.tv/ClassicTetris), alongside a Japanese broadcast on the Enhance Experience Twitch channel (https://twitch.tv/EnhanceExperience).

[h3]CONNECTED 2022[/h3]

Connected 2022 is a second event under the Tetris Effect: Connected World Championship. This year, we’re hosting an online invitational featuring the first-ever team competition in the game’s co-op Connected Vs. mode. In Collaboration with the Classic Tetris World Championship (CTWC), we will also be hosting an offline event at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo.

  • [EPIC] As previously announced, the single-player Leaderboards have been reset due to switching to the Epic Online Services leaderboard system. An archive of the single-player leaderboards will be going up on the Tetris Effect: Connected website at https://www.tetriseffect.game/community/.   • [ALL] Fixed an issue where OPTIONS > GAMEPLAY > DIAGONAL LOCK was not working correctly in MULTIPLAYER > RANKED MATCH and FRIEND MATCH.
  • [VALVE INDEX] Fixed an issue where the old bindings remained active when setting new bindings in OPTIONS > CUSTOMIZE CONTROLS.
  • [QUEST] Fixed an issue where timers in certain modes such as MARATHON were capped at 59:59.99.
  • [PC/QUEST] Fixed an issue where the Back button in the JOIN THE COMMUNITY page was unresponsive when clicking with mouse / VR pointer.
  • [ALL] Added an indicator in the interim results of CONNECTED to show which phase of the game you are in.
  • [PC] Updated Theater Mode to continue in the background even if you tab out of the game.
  • [XBOX] Fixed an issue where the game resets to the title screen when a controller disconnects.
  • Other minor adjustments and bug fixes.

PATCH 1.3.1 - New Color Assist options, Next Queue changes and more!

Greetings Tetris® Effect: Connected players! We have released a new patch that updates the game to version 1.3.1. The most noticeable changes in today’s patch are new Color Assist options designed to help players easily identify MagicMinos among other Tetrimino types, and a change to the default number of Tetriminos displayed in the Next Queue. Please see below for more information on that and the updates made to the Oculus Quest version!

Added options for players with color vision deficiencies – COLOR ASSIST TYPE A, B and C. These can be found in OPTIONS > GAMEPLAY > TETRIMINO COLORS. These new options add patterns to the MagicMinos in CONNECTED/CONNECTED VS, and to TRADITIONAL Tetriminos to make them easier to identify.

Changed the default NEXT QUEUE display to 4 instead of 1.


The word TAP is now displayed when reviving in CONNECTED and CONNECTED VS if you fail to TAP 3 times consecutively.

Fixed an issue in ZONE BATTLE where, in rare cases, Tetriminos would not appear and the game would not progress during the second match when a player had a poor network connection.

Changed the default cursor position in CONNECTED to your highest-cleared Area.

Changed the default cursor position in CONNECTED VS lobbies to BOSS instead of READY.

Other minor adjustments and bug fixes.

NEXT表示数のデフォルトを1から4に変更。

コネクテッド、コネクテッドバトルのREVIVE中にタップを促す表示を追加。(タップを3連続で失敗すると表示されます)

ZONEバトルで通信状態が良くないときに稀に発生する、2試合目以降にテトリミノが出現せずゲームが進行しない問題を修正。

コネクテッドのArea選択画面でのカーソル初期位置を最高到達Areaに変更。

コネクテッドバトルのマッチングルームで、Boss枠のカーソル初期位置をBoss選択に変更。

その他、軽微な問題修正と調整。

NOTE: V1.3.1にアップデート後は、V1.3.1以降のプレイヤーとのみマッチメイクを行うことができます。
