The Tenants - Patch 1.2.8

We’re pleased with the results of testing our experimental branch and with the Patch 1.2.8 we’re merging those experimental changes to the public branch of the game. This means that the initial loading before the main menu will get slightly longer for everyone, but loading a save file or starting a new game should go through much quicker.

We’re also taking down the experimental branch as it won’t be needed for now, to avoid any further confusion.

Let us know if you encounter any further issues, either related to the game loading / optimization or to the game/dlc itself.

  • Optimized asset loading on game startup. The game will now also collect more data, allowing us to investigate crashes and errors live using analytic services.
  • Tenants will now change their traits to positive ones after a successful test pet adoption period.
  • Tweaked XP gain from pet interactions.
  • Fixed a number of issues with the first few tutorials for pets.
  • Fixed a few issues with pet interactions.
  • Fixed an issue with the raccoon trash can scale.

The Tenants - Patch 1.2.7

  • Added more pet sound effects.
  • Added media to the Pig minigame tutorial.
  • Added a display of available DLCs and their status in the main menu.
  • Enabled more actions for the Pigs, Cats and Raccoons.
  • Enabled the sneezing action for allergic tenants.
  • Improved the missing pet effect visibility.
  • Suppressed a number of annoying log messages.


[h3]Bugs[/h3]
  • Fixed another case of the missing pet event not completing properly.
  • Fixed an issue with the burglary event that would leave undoable renovation requests for the player and cleaned up such requests from the save files.
  • Fixed an issue with some pet actions not playing out properly.
  • Fixed an issue with the museum item names and descriptions.
  • Fixed an issue with the shelter job items becoming unlocked at incorrect times.
  • Fixed an issue with the shelter cashout % display in the pet level rewards tab.
  • Fixed an issue with needs considerations for pets in their AI behavior.
  • Fixed an issue with one of the front door objects throwing errors.
  • Fixed an issue with buying Elite Contract houses.

  • Added particles to missing pet pickups to make them more noticeable.
  • Increased the pet XP from pet interactions.
  • Fixed an issue where the phone would appear outside the screen for some users.
  • Fixed a few issues related to spawning pets.
  • Fixed an issue with pet needs being fulfilled incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue with the wrong tenant reply to the player's negative response on helping with the Heating Damage event.
  • Fixed the pet job at Clover Drive 654.
  • Fixed a few issues related to the Missing Pet event.
  • Fixed an issue with the dog jumping through the hoop pet action.

  • Adjust some item placements for the Loan Oak 45 job.
  • Fixed an edge case where players could get the animal shelter contract twice.
  • Fixed an issue related to pets not being properly disposed of when disappearing.

  • Added a new warning tooltip for the Installing Heating tutorial sequence, informing the player that they need to finish the Pedro babysitting job first.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would glitch out when trying to generate new jobs for some people.
