Greetings coaches,
In just two weeks from now, Blood Bowl 3 will release. We thought now would be a good time to take a minute to look at what has been done and what is yet to come. Let’s tackle it!
In the past year we focused a lot on the gameplay aspect of Blood Bowl 3. The betas were particularly helpful in this regard because we took a lot of feedback into account, listened to suggestions, and tried new things that we thought could improve the game (e.g., Formation menu, recruitment, camera improvement). In short, we are now confident that Blood Bowl 3 is the game you have all been waiting for.
However, although February 23 is the release date for Blood Bowl 3, it’s not the end of the road. It’s quite the opposite in fact!
While the gameplay is the core of the game, there are still many features and a lot of content that we plan to add to make Blood Bowl 3 even better.

● First, you will see all the improvements made to the core gameplay since the last beta. We’ve been working on several areas, such as the AI, animation, camera options, and different visual elements, among other things. We also fixed a lot of bugs, which will make the game more enjoyable.
● You will also be able to play the Blood Bowl 3 solo campaign: Clash of Sponsors. It’s the perfect way to familiarize yourself with all the new gameplay features, while having fun with the faction of your choice. In this new game, you can play the single-player mode with any faction.

● Regarding factions, you will be able to play all 12 factions of our starting line-up. Some are well-known, such as the Orcs and Elven Union, while some are brand-new teams making their first appearance in a Blood Bowl video game, including the Black Orcs and Imperial Nobility. Even if you participated in all our betas, it will be your first chance to try some of the new teams, such as the Dark Elves and Chaos Chosen. We can’t wait to hear what you think of them.
● You will be able to play locally and online against fellow members of the community or your friends in different modes. You can enjoy the league system by taking part in it and creating community competitions. Several competition modes will be available (Knock Out, Round Robin, Wissen and Ladder), you will be able to add from 2 to 128 players or an unlimited number in ladder, define the clock rule and the means of admission (free, ticket, invite-only). Even though some admin tools haven’t been implemented yet, there are several admin options to help you manage your tournament in-game, such as adding AI and kicking out teams.
● Fans of the Blood Bowl tabletop game who like to customize their teams will also be pleased to know that there are various options for making your digital team look unique. In addition to customizing your players with different parts and colors, many different elements can be customized, including the stands, cheerleaders, and even the dice! That means there are a lot of options for customizing your factions.

If you’ve followed us for a while, you’ll already know that Blood Bowl 3 will primarily focus on the multiplayer aspect. We are convinced of its huge potential. Multiple features and tons of content are planned to keep the game up to date and the experience constantly refreshed.
We anticipate that most of you are eager to enjoy the competitive aspect and you might be thinking that season 1 seems so far away now. The teams are working hard to make it worth the wait.
As you know, Blood Bowl 3 will be based on a season system.

Our 1st season is planned to kick off in just a few months. It will add features such as the Blood Pass, a new faction, the first version of our official Ladder, and many cosmetic rewards to unlock during the season.
We want to underline that it will be the first version of the Ladder. We plan to improve it a lot over time to make it fit with the competitive ambitions of coaches everywhere. So yes, we have big plans!

We’ve even more helpful features and tools that will come at a later stage. The further we look to the future, the harder it is to give specific dates, but we are preparing a roadmap to give you visibility on cool new features that we know coaches will love, such as crossplay and the spectator modes.
This roadmap will be revealed during a Dev livestream before release. It should give you a clear idea of the features to expect for the first year of Blood Bowl 3. It will also be the perfect chance for you to ask questions directly to our team.
We will be constantly working on the game. Of course, we anticipate there will be some bugs that need fixing, but more importantly, we want to continue developing new features and content to make Blood Bowl 3 better and better with each patch.
That’s it for today. We still have many things for you to discover about Blood Bowl 3 before its release, so stay tuned!
