Big Patch Coming Next Weekend

We were originally planning on releasing a stability patch this weekend, but we're still running testing on it, and making sure said fixes are stable themselves.

Next weekend, we'll be releasing a big update. Look forward to new modes, server improvements, quality of life updates, bug fixes, optimizations, balance updates, and a few other surprises! We'll be showing off a Patch Preview a few days in advance of the update.

Version 0.43.2 - East Asia and Server Optimizations

  • East Asia added as a region.
    -- Server location is centered in Hong Kong. For anyone living in the area, see if that's friendlier on stability and input lag for you.
  • More server optimizations have been made. This should result in less disconnects and server pauses.
    -- As per usual, let us know if you still have issues.


That's it for the patch this week. We do some bigger features coming, along with a host of fixes and Quality-of-Life updates, but it's another week or so off still. Once we have a preview up, we'll let you all know!

Version 0.43.1 - Bug Fixes

[h2]Fixes & Improvements[/h2]
  • Applied more server optimizations. This should result in less pauses, particularly in multiplayer.
  • Server pauses no longer bring up the chatbox.
  • Fixed a bug where you could use the Game Notification to join a game after it's started or no longer exists.
    -- It will now block you from doing so, meaning if you're in a Singleplayer game, you will no longer exit it, unless the game is valid.
  • Removed "Wave 0" column from the Leaderboard.
  • Extended the double-click threshold from 0.15 seconds to 0.3 seconds
  • Arrow & Cannon Towers are no longer buffable by Well & Blacksmith
    -- Apparently, this was an OP tactic that unleashed their final forms, allowing them to overthrow forms of godhood.

Version 0.43 - Game Notifications

[h2]Features[/h2]
  • Game Notifications have been added!
    • How this works is on the title screen, there's a new toggle in the bottom-left corner.
    • If it's on, then as long as you're in the menu, playing offline singleplayer, or Challenges, you'll get a notification each time someone hosts a game.
    • You'll see a pop-up telling you the game's settings. If you accept, it'll confirm if you want to exit your current game, and then if so, you'll instantly join the lobby!
  • 3 New Lava Challenges added!
    • Escalation
    • Big Bad Bosses
    • Duos
  • Quick Play temporarily removed for now.
    • It wasn't doing any favors splitting the low playerbase. We'll add it back down-the-road later.


[h2]Fixes & Improvements[/h2]
  • Arrow & Cannon Towers can no longer be cloned by Trickery.
  • Fixed a bug where building a Trickery Tower near Arrow and/or Cannon Towers would pseudo-freeze the game.
  • Fixed a bug where left-clicks sometimes wouldn't register.
  • Fixed a bug where playing on Random would cause it to carry over to Challenges.
  • Fixed Brightness Slider not doing anything in-game.
  • Added a Max Channels slider for sounds.
    -- Increasing this may result in a smoother sound experience, but it may also lag your game a bit more.
  • Solo Online stability improved.
  • Timeout window increased.
    -- This should result in less spontaneous disconnects. Please let us know if they're still happening.
  • Lobby Region is now listed in the lobby itself.
  • Improved the lighting on the Autumn map.
