Devlog: 13: Animal Enclosures

Dear Zookeepers!

Today’s devlog is focused on building and customizing fences surrounding the animal enclosures.

The first step in creating your dream Zoo is building animal enclosures. Basically, you can build enclosures anywhere you want, and modify them as you like! To start building, you have to enter the creative mode and left-click on the fence icon. Then you have to put the enclosure near the pathways, so that your Zoo guests won't have any problems with visiting that place later.

After you've built the enclosure, you can modify it as you want, by changing its shape or the type of the fence: ginger brick fence, metal fence, chain link fence, wooden fence, glass fence. Unleash your creativity and build animal enclosures in various shapes!

Devlog #12: Zoo Biomes #2

Dear ZooKeepers!

As you've learnt from the previous devlog, there will be various Zoo biomes with ecosystems appropriate for different animals. So far, we've talked about Polar and Safari Biome, and today let's focus on another Zoo biomes that will be available in ZooKeeper: Moderate, Tropical and Swamp biomes.
Moderate Biome
As its name suggests, this biome has a temperate climate, and it consists of mixed trees, various types of plants and flowers. There you can keep a great variety of animals, such as deers, boars, bulls, goats and many more.
Tropical Biome
Tropical biome is a hot and moist biome, covered with broad-leaved trees. This ecosystem is perfect for animals, such as pandas, gorillas, tigers etc. There you can also keep dinosaurs! 🦕
Swamps
Swamp biome consists of wetlands, oak trees and shrub thickets. There you can keep crocodiles and other various reptiles. Of course, you can try to keep different species there, but watch out! Crocodiles might attack them. 🐊

Also remember that it's better to keep animals in appropriate biomes, which will ensure their welfare. Zoo visistors would like to see happy animals in good condition.

Devlog #11: Zoo Biomes - Hot'n'cold!

Hello ZooKeepers!

While building your dream zoo, you can create various biomes with ecosystems appropriate
for different animal species. Today we would like you to take a look at two different biomes - Polar Biome and Safari.
Polar Biome
Polar Biome is the coldest biome available in ZooKeeper. Cold ecosystem is perfect for polar bears, penguins, mooses and for rare extinct species - mammoths!
Safari Biome
Safari Biome is the hottest biome that can be created in ZooKeeper. Hot climate is appropriate for animals, such as: elephants, zebras, lemures, giraffes, etc.

In upcoming devlogs we will show you more biomes. Stay tuned and keep following the game on Steam! If you have any questions or just want to know more about the game, feel free to join our discord server!

Devlog #10: Zoo Visitors

Hello ZooKeepers!

Last time we told you about staff members, and today we would like to talk about zoo visitors!

Zoo visitors will come to your animal park to see animals and have fun. Remember that nicely decorated Zoo will attract more guests, and attractions will ensure additional entertainment.

After entering the zoo, visitors pay for the tickets that price depends on the development level of your animal park. The number of zoo visitors is also closely connected to the zoo’s development level. When you buy new facilities or new animals, the number of visitors visibly increases.

Devlog #9: Staff Members

Hello ZooKepers!

Let’s talk about staff members, which you can employ to take care of your animal park.

Apart from creating your dream Zoo, you have to also manage your staff members. As a good leader, you should be aware that your staff members are not only a big help for you, but also a great responsibility. You have to properly supervise them and also remember to pay them on time.

Besides, you should also be aware that each staff member has a satisfaction level, responsible for the willingness to do their job. Satisfied employees perform their tasks easily. When an employee’s satisfaction level drops to zero, you’ll notice that their free will is turned off, and in this case you have to give them instructions, or let them rest for a while.

What is more, each employee has one favorite task, and while doing it, the satisfaction level increases. Additionally, the satisfaction level is also connected with a staff member’s skill rank. You may observe that the satisfaction level drops slower when an employee has a high skill rank.

Lastly, we would like to add that your awesome employees have an amazing super power. They can teleport themselves between animal enclosures, so there’s no need to wait until they finally move from one biome to another.

Manage your staff members properly and become the greatest ZooKeeper! Keep following the game on Steam and stay tuned for upcoming updates! If you have any questions or just want to know more about the game, feel free to join our Discord server!
