YO YO DRIFTERS! We’re whippin' out the tools and cable ties for Update 2.19.0 as we tackle some more game optimisation and performance issues that we have -very much heard- from you. Read on to find out what the team has been working on!

NEW EBISU WEST LAYOUT – HILLSIDE!
Ebisu is getting the love it deserves this year, and we’re not stopping with another layout to the iconic map! Hillside boasts amazing elevation changes, and is the ideal track to tandem on due to the well timed deceleration zones (+ left foot braking opportunities)!

As there aren’t any outstanding new features or major bug fixes in this update (hear us out here!) – We’re getting into the nitty-gritties of addressing performance issues and crash rates that have been occurring.

There are a number of contributing factors to players' game stability being interfered with, one of which being hardware longevity. In 2.18.0, we introduced a graphics quality setting cap for lower end devices with the intention of allowing said players to still enjoy the game, but not at the expense of relaunching the game over and over again, which as a result… dramatically taints the gameplay experience.

The TD team have spent this update digging deeper into untouched corners of the game to implement more changes where possible to ultimately retune old systems, optimise the game better to cover a wider pool of devices, as well as making quality of life improvements to UI, game flow, and more!

• Delete Button repositioned in selection screen, users will now need to type CONFIRM to delete account
  
• Long titles are now scrollable
  
• Lighting updates on maps: WWT, Hakone, Gingerman

YEEHAW DRIFTERS! Update 2.18.0 is out for BLOOD! No tricks, just treats for a spook-tacular Halloween event with creepy NEW sponsortree challenges, stickerpacks, and MORE! We’re also happy to finally introduce Photo Mode as part of our plan to implement more meaningful quality of life improvements to the game. HALLOWEEN 2022!
We are getting to that time of the year folks - Cobwebs are up, pumpkins are carved, and tricks are on standby, BUT we are finally excited to treat our players to a week of creepy, exciting content. Fa-boo-lous Halloween cars ready to make their debut for the final week of October! Expect an event-exclusive track layout with thrilling challenges, and our store will be stocked with new Halloween-themed stickerpack bundles, neons, and alloys for the abandoned project car in the spooky garage!

[PC] INTRODUCING PHOTO MODE!
We’re starting off with something long overdue for the virtuoso paintbrush holder – Photo Mode!
Undeniably, Torque Drift houses some of the best livery artists that we’ve seen, some of which have been praised by FD Pro Drivers themselves. Whether you’re just starting to get familiar with the brushes, posting unhinged and chaotic liveries for us to laugh at on stream, flexing your newest bonnet artwork on #torquedriftliveries, whipping up THE NEXT FD-spec livery, or just having a bit of fun – Photo Mode will give you all the freedom to reimagine and capture your masterpiece with comprehensive camera settings!

This feature is only available on Steam/PC for now. We’re excited to continue the conversation with you all on adding more actual game-flow improvements and meaningful features, so any and ALL feedback for Photo Mode is appreciated!


BUG FIXES & PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS

• Introduced quality settings cap for low-end devices
  (Some quality setting options will be unavailable for low-end devices, affected players will see a warning message explaining why. We’re tackling the complex crashing issue, and some of the hardware on your devices simply cannot support the game as we continue updating.)
• In-game volume should now accurately reflect device’s actual volume settings

WADDUP DRIFTERS! Update 2.17.0 comin' through just in time for the final round of the FD Season! Along with FD Irwindale, we’re dropping NEW Carbon angle kits in the store. We’re keeping this patch short and sweet, as the Torque Drift team has all hands on deck in preparation for a very HUGE update coming up soon!

FINAL ROUND FORMULA DRIFT 2022: TITLE FIGHT!
And just like that, the finish line for Formula Drift Season 2022 is within arm’s reach! For the final round, we'll be running a weekend-long event with exclusive challenges on Cali Banks to celebrate FD Irwindale. Relive the hype of Round 8: Title Fight just like the pros!
To sweeten the final round just a bit more, we’re offering a discount on all our 2022 FD cars for a limited time, and FD crates will be available for players to purchase with high-tier consumables and loot up for grabs!

FORMULA DRIFT ROUND 7 - #FDJ EBISU WEST!
We’re excited to announce more additions to the part store – NEW Carbon rarity angle kits! This new carbon kit introduces Ackerman adjustments and will offer more freedom in tuning. This will be especially impactful in the game’s current meta, so show us how you build up YOUR ride and dominate your competition drifters!

NEW CHRIS FORSBERG FD 2022 CAR UPDATE!
Established veteran in the scene and a true motorsport icon, Chris Forsberg hits the 2022 Formula Drift tracks with his brand new Z34 Nissan Z 2023 (Custom Pro Edition) - A revamped livery design with his signature blue, orange and black palette and an incredible VR38DETT under the hood, this new addition will easily boast 1,300 HP and 1,700 NM of torque on the tracks, talk about a beast of a debut!

NEW EBISU DRIFT SCHOOL LAYOUT – CARPARK!
SKRRRT SKRRRRT! It’s back to school with Ebisu opening up a highly anticipated new section of the map, CARPARK! Sending you a little higher up the mountain, players can expect a fun new layout on the iconic drift school track and uh… there may or may not be a Jump on it… Let us know how you like it!

NEW PRO SR20 ENGINE!
Our latest addition to the part store is the PRO SR20 Engine! A mega responsive engine that finally surpasses 1000HP, we may be seeing some worthy competition for our renowned Barra Engine finally. Which car are you putting this in first?!
