Plan for the next major update (v0.7)

Hello everyone! It has been almost three weeks since the launch of "Glimmer in Mirror". During this time we have received a lot of feedbacks. Base on these feedbacks, we are planning for the up the next optimization goals.

At present, the game has relatively large deficiencies in the growth system, freedom of combat, maps and guidance. The next major update (v0.7) will focus the game iteration on these parts:

  1. Try to iterate the game's growth system and gameplay loop, and adjust the monsters' numerical and AI balance to make the game's combat and growth more interesting and rewarding.
  2. Optimize the readability and information of the world map, and allow players to mark the map.
  3. Integrate and optimize the teleportation points of each map to give players a more convenient way to teleport.
  4. Add mission interface to help players remember the current progress of the game and next targets.
  5. Support Steam Cloud.


The first part of the update (try to iterate the game's growth system and gameplay loop) is a very risky decision. This iteration may bring revolutionary changes to the game, but it also requires a lot of development work and a lot of trial.

It is a challenge we are willing to and must take on in order to make the game more fun. The iteration of this system is still in the planning and experimentation stage, and we will share it with you when we have some results in the future. We hope you can give us some more time.

The release date for the major update is hard to estimate for now, but we will do our best. Thank you for your understanding.

Meanwhile, because this major update involves a lot of changes, we will do Beta testing to ensure the stability of the new version before the official update in the future.

Summary of this week & Preliminary ideas for upcoming updates

Hello everyone! We are MapleDorm Games.
It's been a week since Glimmer in Mirror was launched, thanks for your purchase and support, we have received and recorded all your suggestions and feedbacks.


In these days we released 7 minor version updates to optimize some of the game's current guidance problems and fix a series of bugs.
After completing today's minor update (v0.6.10.0010), the current version of the game should have been stable, and we will start planning for the upcoming major updates.

The next major version update is expected to optimize several systems that are currently criticized, such as the world map system, the guidance system, the teleport system and so on. We will also support Steam Cloud in next major version update. After completing the next major version update, we will start the development of new levels.

In a few days is the traditional Chinese New Year. Our team has been developing under high pressure for a long time. In the New Year holiday we will take a rest and plan for the next updates. After the holiday, we will announce a clear and specific update plan!

  • Now when you try to exit the game, a confirmation dialog will pop up to avoid mistake.
  • Fixed some errors in the save data.

  • Optimized the guidance after completing the music box puzzle, guiding players to move left next through the camera language.
  • Optimized some scene art and added gates in the Onyx Castle - Residential Area.
  • Optimized the visual effect of the gears in the survival challenge, now the gears on top will not cover the character.
  • Fixed the issue that there is a very low probability that the battle challenge in Dark Remains can not be completed.
  • Fixed the issue that sometimes the same episode may trigger twice.
  • Fixed the issue that some monsters' AI works wrong.
  • Fixed the issue that opening the inventory when using Chilling light may cause effect error.
  • Fixed the problem that in the settings, switching the camera edge blur effect will change the VSync.
