Howdy, hey! Merry early chrimbus, everyone. Thought I'd write a devlog discussing the game, because gorsh, have I made progress. I'll break this down into a few headings for clarity.
KAREN'S ROUTE IS NOW COMPLETED:
Booyah! Karen's route is now 100%!
Her route is about the same size as Randy's, 6 endings, a few hours of content! This is big news on its own, but... Well, there's more.
MEET OLIVER:
With Karen's route in the bag, rather than spoiling any of his major scenes, or discussing her in detail, I'll (without further ado) introduce
this handsome chap.
Meet Oliver!

I'm working on his route right now (his assets are now done, his character track on the OST is just about done, finishing script/code right now! His route involves helping a strange
goblin employee at a local cinema film a movie that'll save his place of work from financial ruin (bankruptcy, but with, like, phones 'n' stuff.) His route's already comin' along great, his character assets turned out beautifully, looking forward to telling his tale.
TOTAL PROGRESS:
Right,
cat's dog's outta the bag:
I'm about to show you an (admittedly blurred, you're not MEANT to be able to read it!) image of the COMPLETE* roadmap of Dialtown (*there's one route not pictured here.)

Essentially, what this is: is a
COMPLETE summary of (most of)
Dialtown, with the green box at the top representing the intro, and the 4 complete chapter 1 routes below it.
There's also a 5th "mini" route that's fairly linear and acts as a dumb side quest the player can do in town, but you'll discover that for yourselves in game.
There is a full 5th route not on the chart, but that's only for players who complete the other four routes and want a finale, bring Dialtown's story to a close and explaining why the world is the way it is.
As always, anything in green is fully finished and ready to go, anything orange is missing code, but has assets/a completed script, red needs code/assets and needs scriptwork. As you can see, there's a lot of green. But, most importantly, that segways me into another announcement, the last and most exciting so far.
Demo!
Yes, there WILL be a free Dialtown demo coming to this page in Spring 2020. If you're wondering how large the demo is... Well, the roadmap has the answer.
Anything on the roadmap that's within the white dashed line is what I'm aiming to include in the demo! Meaning, the demo should be at least an hour of content, maybe a good bit more, depending on how the next few months go.
So, I'm one small side-route and less than half of another route away from the game being demo ready! Woot! The next devlog will have a teaser trailer in it with a release date provided too. Exciting stuff.Hope y'all enjoyed the update. I have eighteen GODDAMNED puppies that ALL need new contact lenses (that's 18 x 2 pieces of curved glass!!!!) so god DAMN, i hope this sells!!! See you next devlog (with the demo teaser trailer!) G'bye!
