Our Mother Machine Playtest is LIVE!

Hello adventurers,

We are super thrilled to announce that we are running another playtest for our latest game, Mother Machine!

From now until the 16th of December, you can hop in the game and be your most chaotic gremlin self!



Venture into the depths of the alien cave network, complete missions, and come back to evolve and change your playstyle (or keep the same mutations, I'm not the boss of you!)

Greetings explorers! Today's patch fixes one annoying bug:

  • Fixed nature rest events not progressing when a Cultist was frozen in the Old Theatre.

3.3.1 Patch Notes

Greetings Cultists! We have a small update with a couple of bug fixes for your cults today:

  • Fixed newly inducted cultists getting a level 1 cultist ability instead of their current level
  • Fixed some inducted cultists not getting the correct levels of their former classes ability, if that former class had multiple upgradable abilities
  • Fixed the promotion preview window not displaying correct information for Cultists


If you find any bugs, do please report them using the in-game bug reporter! If you don't, the Purple Jelly will get you!

Free Cultist DLC Now Available!

Dear Explorers,

We've just released a free update, featuring a new playable Cult Leader character and 4 types of Cultists to recruit!

[h2]Cult Leader[/h2]
  • To unlock the Cult Leader, you need to have the "From Whence we Came" achievement, "Enter a Portal to a Corrupted world and return back". Then just start a new Campaign or Director Mode run and select this explorer.
  • Cult Leaders can persuade human trek members to join their cult and become a Cultist. You can do this at any nature rest location. New Cultists will keep their existing class's skill along with their new abilities!
  • Cult Leaders grow in power the more Cultists they have in their party, gaining extra maximum sanity.
  • Cult Leaders get powerful unique options when converting a Mission to a Cultist Outpost.




[h2]Cultists[/h2]
  • All explorers can recruit Cultists at the Tavern in Paris - not just Cult Leaders!
  • There are 4 types of Cultist to recruit, each with their own skills and dice. They all get more powerful the more Cultists you have in the party.
  • And of course, no self-respecting Cultist would visit a Mission and not see an opportunity! The Mission Takeover returns from Curious Expedition 1.


Additionally there are a number of new events included featuring the new characters. We're very curious to see what trek member combinations you find to make the most famous Cult in history!
