Hey there, dear heroes!

Are you doing well these days? Today we come to you again with great news regarding the latest version of Nigate Tale. A new patch for our wonderful roguelike adventure is now available, and it comes with a lot of expected fixes. Check the brief list below to learn more about them:

• Some skills of the Elite Monster Baphomet weren’t dealing the appropriate amount of damage. This bug has been fixed.
  
• A bug in the unlocking process of the Monster Girl Circe has been fixed too.
  
• All marks should be working correctly now.
  
• This hotfix also prevents some combinations of blessings from failing, as it was happening in the previous version of the build.
  
• Some tarot cards weren’t working as expected. The bug has been fixed.
  
• A lighting error in the Loka Pride scene has been fixed.
  
• Shield collisions in Hard mode should be working correctly now.
  
• Those texts still displayed in Chinese have been translated into English. You should be able to see them now!
  
• The system behind the generation of rewards and the store has been optimized.
  
• The fourth level’s map UX has been improved.

Well guys, we made it in time! A few days before the Chinese New Year, and despite all the setbacks we’ve faced, we have managed to release this expected new update of Nigate Tale. Version 0.4 opens the door to a new stage in the history of the game, with many more surprises to come. The whole team expects to be able to tell you more after the national holidays, but for now? Let's enjoy what we have in our hands!

We don't want to unnecessarily extend ourselves by detailing again the content of the major patch (read the patch notes here), but to thank all of our players one more time for their patience and support since Nigate Tale was launched on Early Access in April 2021.

Both Hermit Games and 2P Games are very happy to count on such a kind and involved community. Also, we would like to send a big "thank you”' to those content creators who enjoyed Nigate Tale in their live streams and videos, for helping us bring the magic of the game to a weirder audience across the globe. You are all essential to our project, and none of us will forget that you have been there when we needed you the most.

We hope to continue counting on all of you from now on, and that this new game patch will make you even more eager to play what's to come. Now, take your swords and head to the castle to smash some goblins! Remember that if you have any doubts or problems or even any feedback that you want to tell us about, we read them both in the comments section and in the official 2P Games Discord channel.

[h2]NOTES[/h2]

If you were playing v.0.3 before the v.0.4 update
There’s nothing to worry about, just keep playing as usual! All the objects you collected until then will return to your hand, including the points spent to unlock new skills or the cakes you gave to the monster girls. The best thing about it is that you can try different character builds without starting a new adventure and discover which one fits your play style better.

If you played the beta version before the update
The game will be resumed at the same point you left it without needing to redistribute the skill points and the presents for monster girls.

Don’t get back to v.0.3 after playing v.0.4 beta version
Please wait until January 27th before making any changes on your current version of Nigate Tale — otherwise your data will be corrupted.

There’s a small probability that your game file gets corrupted after the new major update, so we strongly recommend you copy them from C:\ Users\（Username）\AppData\Local\Roguelite\Saved to a separate folder.
The save data will be on C:\Users \(your Windows username) \AppData \Local \Roguelite \Saved \SaveGames and copy that folder to somewhere safe!

This is the news we’ve been expecting to announce for the last four months, and it’s finally here after all! The latest major update for Nigate Tale, which we tested in late December with our current player base, will be available for every Steam user that purchases the game from January 27th onwards. It’s coming with a bunch of changes you'll identify at first sight, and other not-so-visible upgrades focused on making the game experience smoother and more balanced than before.

In our latest announcement, we already detailed most of the changes that players will find in Nigate Tale after its corresponding patch. Today, you’ll find further information since our team identified several new bugs in the past weeks thanks to your invaluable help via Discord. Let’s begin!

Interface

• The visible interface has been completely reworked to look vivid and more cartoonish. We hope you’re a big fan of blue and yellow tones!
  

The sewers

• The sewers of the castle have been refurbished, taking the form of a larger and cozier circular courtyard. The monster girls will be walking between their own semi-open rooms, built on small elevations around the central corridor, and this new hallway. Their personal spaces will receive new customizations as your relationship with them strengthens.
  
• You can access the wiki from the pause menu, so Mickey the merchant will now trade pieces of cake for cute gifts to get a higher level of friendship with the monster girls.
  
• The weapon upgrade service is now available at Alona’s store.
  

Levels

• Most of the levels have been redesigned as well to include new special quests and challenges.
  
• You’ll find a wider variety of traps, and a large number of them too.
  
• Players will meet the castle’s owner to challenge him at the end of his level.
  

Monster girls

• A new monster girl will join your tour team after defeating the lord of the castle. Who might she be?
  
• The friendship system has been reworked. We’re introducing new slots to equip blessing enhancements at the beginning of each run. There are dozens of different choices and combinations!
  
• Unlock new slots by giving the monster girls any of the special gifts sold by Mickey at his stall.
  

Enemies

• Some enemies’ designs received an important upgrade, and they’re now stronger in Hard Mode.

Hello there, unexpected heroes!

The next update for Nigate Tale is almost out of the oven, with only a few fixes and some parts of the English localization missing yet. We are very excited to share with you all these new features, and as we foresee that it may take a few weeks longer than expected, today we bring you a little surprise. If you have been following our updates on Twitter you will already know what it is: you can join today the beta testing of our next content update!

[h2]How to jump into the beta testing branch:[/h2]

Our beta branch is open to everyone, so you should be able to find the new branch AdvanceTest on the Branch options. To join the beta, please follow these steps:

1. Right-Click Nigate Tale on your Library, and choose Properties



2. In the Properties menu, click on the Betas tab



3. Choose advancetest - Advance Test from the beta option and you're set!



You should now see our Nigate Tale is updating the beat version. After the update process is completed, you could start playing the latest version.

Please notice that, as we are still working on the localization and the build itself, you'll find untranslated sentences and maybe some bugs in this Beta version. That is to be expected, given that it is a beta after all -- but please let us know your feedback on our Discord server, our developers will fix them in our future updates.

The Sewers
Someone magically refurbished the sewers of the castle and now they’ve become a circular courtyard with several mini-rooms around it. The area is larger than before but feels much cozier.

The monster girls will settle in these elevated, semi-open rooms. They will also help you customize your base as your relationship strengthens.

Since you can access the wiki from the pause menu, Mickey the merchant will now trade pieces of cake for cute gifts to get a higher level of friendship with the monster girls.

The weapon upgrade service is now available at Alona’s store. Don’t miss it!


Interface

Levels
Most of the levels have been redesigned as well and there’s a wide variety of new adventures waiting for you. Find quests, special challenges, and more!

Players will meet the castle’s owner to challenge him at the end of his level.

You’ll find a wider variety of traps, and a large number of them too.
