Introducing the new weapon skills

Hello, this is GM_TempuraUdon.

The 4th Alpha test begins in 2 days!
Check out all the information about the test here if you didn't yet.
Today we introduce the Zahir's throwing weapons' skills that will be added to this Alpha test.
Throwing Weapons - Smokescreen
A smokescreen immediately appears around you.
Enemies inside the smokescreen have their vision reduced and their movement speed decreased.

Throwing weapons are weapons more suited for normal attacks than Shurikens.
Smokescreen, the weapon skill, reduces the enemy's movement speed, so you can reduce the distance between them and increase your chances of landing Zahir's skill shots.

Shurikens - Caltrop Trail
Throw caltrops in an area, dealing damage to enemies that step on them and reducing their movement speed.
Shurikens have more difficult recipes for high ranked weapons compared to throw weapons but have high attack power.

The weapon skill Caltrop Trail stays for a quite long time, so you can have more favorable fights by using Caltrop Trail and fighting enemies so that they cannot get closer to you.

4th Alpha test preview - Map improvement

Did you check the announcement about the 4th Alpha test that was posted last week?
You can check it here if you didn't yet.

Today we will talk a bit about how the map changes for this 4th Alpha test.


Making a game map is always a long journey.
We call the team that makes the map the "world" team for a reason: it's a bit like creating another world of its own.

The dev team of Black Survival: Eternal Return planned to finish the entire island of Lumia within 2 years, which means half of it has still not been completed.
The developer team is improving the buildings, roads, ponds, trees, cars, etc. at each Alpha test.

There is one thing we wanted to highlight among the map changes for this 4th Alpha test. It's none other than the "telephone poles". To be honest, all the telephone poles disappeared in the streets around our office.
And this is the case also for a lot of cities, you can see fewer and fewer telephone poles.


But this seemed like a normal thing to have in Lumia Island as it is a survival game, to show that people used to live there. Implementing telephone poles was one of the elements that we felt would give a special feel to Lumia Island.

We hope that the map improvements will make you enjoy even more the battlefields of Lumia Island.

Are you ready for the 4th Alpha test?


Hello! This is Nimble Neuron.

We are pretty excited to start this 4th Alpha test as it might be the last one before the release on Early Access.
This time, you will have to face even more challenges to try to survive until the end!
Are you ready to be the last one standing?

Here is all you need to know to participate in this 4th Alpha test:

[4th Alpha Test Schedule]

From: Wednesday, December 11th at 4 pm (PST)
To: Monday, December 16th at 4 pm (PST)

There will be only two servers this time open during the whole test: Asia server and North America server.
You will be able to choose on which server you want to play. If you have trouble getting a match, don't hesitate to try to switch servers.

We are sorry to our European community who wanted its own server this time.
We will have more news about a possible Europe server in the near future.



[How to Participate]

The 4th Alpha is a bit different this time!

You won't need a key to download and play the game. There will be a different Steam page where you will be able to access and download the game. This is a Steam page exclusive to this 4th Alpha.

You will have to go to the page called:

"Black Survival: Eternal Return - 4th Alpha"

(the page will be live only from the start of the test on December 11th - 4 pm PST).

Make sure to join us on Discord, Facebook or Twitter to not miss the Alpha test. We will also share the new Steam page link there!

[About the 4th Alpha Test]


For this 4th Alpha test, one new character will be joining the other 6: the ascended disciple Zahir. Will he be able to survive the dangerous Lumia Island?



A new threat is also coming to challenge everyone: our new wild animal (?) Wickeline! Tremble as she brushes past you at night and hope for the best, as she does not have mercy for anyone.

GM_TempuraUdon is revealing their details little by little. Check out our announcement section to learn more about them!

The game has had also a lot of improvement and changes thanks to the feedback received after the 3rd Alpha test.

4th Alpha Test Event

The 4th Alpha test is coming soon and for a much longer time to test it and have fun with it! This time we will only have 2 servers available: Asia and N. America.

However, since our community is much more diverse than only 2 regions, we hope you can help us to avoid queues in one or another region by inviting your gamer friends and fans of Black Survival universe and help us having a constant flow of players during the days of testing! So no more long queues and much more survival!!

We are sorry to our European community who wanted its own server this time.
We will have more news about a possible Europe server in the near future.

Introducing Zahir's skills

Hello, this is GM_TempuraUdon.
Today we are introducing the skills of our new character for this 4th Alpha: Zahir.

Most of Zahir's skills are skill shots.
So proper timing and control are very important when using his skills.
Mastering these skills is difficult but each skill have a kind of synergy with the others and using them together is very important for this character.
Should we take a look at the GIF?

Passive: Eye of Azrael
Zahir's passive skill, Eye of Azrael, is the skill where synergy with the other skills is the most important.
If Zahir hits an enemy with a skill, an Eye of Azrael indicator is applied to the enemy for 6 seconds and Zahir's movement speed increases for a moment. If you hit an enemy with the indicator with a skill, an Eye of Azrael effect is applied to the skill used. If you kill an enemy, you see corpses in the current area.

Q: Narayanastra
Zahir deals damage in a targeted area. Narayanastra deals extra damage if the enemy has an Eye of Azrael indicator, and the enemy's defense decreases for a moment in proportion to the difference in kills between you and them.

W: Gandiva
If Zahir hits an enemy with any skill but Gandiva, he gains Chakrams that float behind him.
The Chakrams stay for a certain time and earning a Chakram refreshes the timer.
If you use the W skill when Zahir has Chakrams behind him, he throws a Chakram in the targeted direction, dealing damage.
If the enemy hit by the W skill has an Eye of Azrael indicator, their movement speed is reduced and the cooldown of every skill, excluding Gandiva, is also reduced.

E: Vayvayastra
When Zahir uses the E skill, he summons and launches a gust of wind, dealing with damage. The first enemy hit has its movement speed reduced.
If the enemy hit has an Eye of Azrael indicator, the enemy is launched airborne for a longer time.

R: Bhargavastra (Ultimate)
Zahir calls down Chakrams from the heavens to damage enemies in a wide area, dealing with damage.
Bhargavastra applies an Eye of Azrael indicator to enemies if they don't have one.
Zahir's skills have movement speed reducing, airborne and other effects.
These skills are great when escaping and holding off enemies but also for combat.
Try to remain the last one standing in Lumia Island with the versatile Zahir!
