Today’s Dev Journal will be about Victory Poses!
"First of all, Victory Poses are not going to be very long. Unfortunately, as we were working on them for all 65 subjects, including their skins at the same time, we had to make them shorter than we would have wanted.
Even though the scene's length is shorter than the cutscene for a successful escape, you'll notice that all the subjects have unique poses."
The goal of Victory Poses is to make the feeling of winning even better!
When you hit the start button, you expect a "magical game". But even in a game with a 50% win rate, this piece of magic is very rare. Someone once described it as "a game that isn't a stomp, but a hard close game where we barely win because I played well and carried".
In Battle Royale, this "magical game" is heavily tied to
winning, and even Squad, that has the highest winning rate, is still only less than 10% in Early Game due to the small number of teams. And in Eternal Return 1.0, as the number of teams increases, the odds of winning will become even lower. So it's likely that a significant number of players won't experience a single victory in one day.
In this "magical game" that comes around every few days, we want you and your character to share the joy it brings. Sure, it can get a little dull after you've won dozens and dozens of times, but until then, it's a great way to intensify the taste of victory.
Debi & Marlene’s Victory Pose was revealed during our last Dev Stream.
And now we’re also revealing Adina’s Victory Pose!
Moreover, when you play and win while using a skin, you'll strike a victory pose that uses the skin!
With the exception of the 15 Epic skins, which have their own unique victory pose to differentiate them from the default skins.
Victory poses are a feature that is still very much in development. Eternal Return 1.0 is the first step, and then we'll be evolving it into many more including a Team Victory Pose!
