Q7. Will there be a BGM and character voices to make the game more dynamic?


Background music is an element that has been partly missing in the 1st and 2nd Alpha test and a lot of you noticed that.
To be honest, we have been working on Black Survival: Eternal Return's BGM for a while now. Sound is very important, especially in a game, and we want to get that right.

You will be able to hear the BGM for the first time in the 3rd Alpha test!

However, the character voices won't be available yet for the next test. They will be added later in the development process to make the game even more dynamic.

Today we will talk about fast traveling around Lumia Island!

This is another thing that came out a lot in the feedback. As the map is quite big and the items are scattered in different areas, it can take some time to run around and craft the item you want. It also gets even more difficult as the restricted areas grow in number and/or other characters get in the way.

A lot of you requested a way to get around faster, and we received really interesting ideas: a train going around the map and the characters having to hop onto a wagon, underground paths and even a monorail system that would allow players to travel above the map.

We are currently working on a fast-travel system that will change quite a lot the dynamics of the game and allow for new strategies to appear. Will it be a train, an underground network, a monorail, a teleportation system?

We will reveal more details about it and how it works in later news, so look out for announcements!

A lot of you probably felt bad for wild animals during our 2nd Alpha test: not moving during the day, just awaiting their death and being able to move around only to attack at night. We got a lot of requests to make them a bit more dynamic. But there will be more than that in the 3rd Alpha test. There will be big changes when it comes to wild animals! The details will be revealed in later news, so we cannot tell you much right now, but... we might even have new ones coming to the game! Can you take a guess? (no unicorns, sorry 🦄)

We had a few players that were unable to run the game properly due to the quality of their PC.
In the next stages of development, we are planning on optimizing the game a bit more than it is now. However, it will be hard to play if you have a PC that is below the game's minimum requirements (the system requirements for Black Survival: Eternal Return are subject to change).

We hope a lot of you can play it in its full glory and we will keep working hard on making it available for everyone!

In today's 'quick answer', we will talk about the Single Player mode!

Single Play mode was a new feature of the 2nd Alpha test, and we were happy to see that a lot of you really enjoyed it. We even had players tell us that they only played in the Single Play mode as it was too much fun. It was however a bit too hard for new players sometimes, especially when they ended up being chased by a horde of bots.

Help! Bot horde coming.

We want to make that mode even more accessible by allowing players to adjust it to their need. This way, Single Play mode will be as enjoyable by new players as it will be for most advanced players that want to improve their strategies and test certain features of the game.
