We've been working behind the scenes to bring you an even better online experience. Here's what you need to know before the update goes live:

🕹️ Out with the Old, In with the New!
Games that were active before the new online update will be unavailable. It will not be possible to return to them even if you do not install the update. Get ready to embrace the fresh opportunities that online play brings.

🔄 Resetting the Karma
We're hitting the reset button on karma points! For all you feathered friends out there, your karma points will be restored to their base value.

🎈 Two Weeks of Double Karma
In the first two weeks after the new online launch, victory will taste even sweeter as you can earn double the karma points for your wins.

So, mark your calendars for August 30th and get those talons ready for new online in Wingspan Digital. Whether you're a seasoned player or a fledgling just taking your first flight, there's a perch waiting for you in one of our digital habitats.

[h3]Ruffle your feathers, Wingspan Online Mode Stress Test is starting NOW! From June 15th, 10 AM CET to June 19th, 3 PM CET you will be able to play the new, upcoming online mode using the special, open playtest build here, on Steam! [/h3]

• Your games from the Default online will not be available in the Playtest version, so it’s best to finish them before switching to the Playtests.

[h2]Check out methods of reporting bugs:[/h2]

[h3]When sending bug reports, please also state what type of internet you have (wifi, wired) and, if you can, your internet speed at the time of the problem, e.g. via a speed test page (www.speedtest.net/), so that we can more easily solve the problem.



1. You can use the in-game's bug reporting system.

To do this, click the “Worm” button in the upper left corner of the screen.

When it opens, describe the problem there.



2. For complex bugs, you can attach the "Player", and "Player-prev", and save files to your reports.

Send them to [email protected] with a description of the issue and preferably, how it happened step by step.

Put "Wingspan Online Stress Test" in the title of the email.


Below is the instruction on how to reach the Player and Player-prev files (send after you close the game):

- Open up Windows Explorer (to the left of the search bar) and copy and paste the following to the address bar: %appdata%\..\locallow\Monster Couch\Wingspan - Press Enter.

This will take you to the Wingspan online log folder where you will find the player.log file.


Here you’ll be able to find log files on MacOS:
~/Library/Logs/MonsterCouch/Wingspan/Player.log

3. You can also write about bugs directly in the private, dedicated playtest forum and channel on Discord. We are checking all reports regularly.

4. If possible, please attach screenshots and describe step by step the actions that led to the bug. Try to do this regardless of the method of reporting the bug.

During the playtest, you’ll encounter a “feedback” button in the upper corner of the screen, and pop-ups encouraging you to fill out the form. Both will redirect you to the feedback survey. Don’t worry, the survey won’t be long. We encourage you to fill it out, it’ll help us a lot in fixing any issues and improving the general performance of the mode before we introduce it permanently to the game.

For several months we have been working on moving our online infrastructure from ChilliConnect to the Nakama backend service. We are committed to making the online mode as stable as possible! This will also enable us to consider tweaks and new features for the Online play.

🚨IMPORTANT🚨 During the Online Playtest:

• Using the Playtest version you will be able to play only with people who also use the Playtest version
  
• Games from the Default online will not be available in the Playtest version, so you have to finish them in order not to have to go back to Default online
  
• You can go back to the non Playtest version at any time
  
• Your user account will not disappear in the Default online so don't worry about it
  

We strongly encourage you to take part in this Playtest and invite your friends to join you - a large group of testers will allow us to examine how the server handles the load, and your feedback will help us fix any flaws before introducing the new online permanently to the game. You can express your interest in the form below and we will notify you when the testing starts.
