Arks around the globe have come to PSO2, along with Summer! It’s a fabulous time to celebrate the beachy weather and new recruits, and so ARKS HQ has decided to hold a Summer Event from August 5th to September 2nd! Items of interest during this time include new Urgent Quests, Summer-related Client Orders from Xia, a décor overhaul in various areas, Summer BINGO, and more! Features in the event may reward powerful new weapons and some unique cosmetic items! Without further ado, let’s dive into some of the features coming in PSO2’s Summer Event!




[h2]SUMMER-TIME BOOST[/h2]

The heat may discourage some from wanting to train, so ARKS HQ has decided to implement some Ship-Wide and Extreme Quest Boosts to encourage Arks to get out and enjoy the summer. If you’re looking for an item upgrade or some experience gain, then now is the time to pack your calendar with missions and quests!

[h2]DÉCOR THEME: FUN IN THE SUN[/h2]

ARKS HQ wanted to not only give operatives some pool-time, but bring the real feeling of summer to the Ships. That’s why you’ll notice that a couple of new objects have been added here and there throughout your resident Ship. From coconut trees in the Gate Area, to a water slide in the Shopping Plaza, we think you’ll be reaching for sun-tan lotion and smelling the grill as soon as you see the new décor!

[h2]FRANCA'S (BEACH) CAFÉ[/h2]

Franca has decided to try out a new look for her Café, and all Arks are invited to stop by and check out the new theme! If you’re looking for the perfect backdrop for your selfies, then look no further than the beach huts in the surf! They even have some strategically placed points to pose for the perfect pic! Since it takes quite a while to move furniture around, Franca’s Café décor will be sticking around for a bit longer, until September 30th! So you’ve got plenty of time to soak up the sun!

XIA will be making another appearance, and she has some tasks for operatives to perform (naturally in the form of Client Orders.) She’s got a lofty goal for the summer, and needs your help!

[h2]BEACH WARS![/h2]

If you’ve ever run through sand, then you know it can be excellent for those looking to train. We’re willing to bet that you’ve probably never trained by running through sand while fighting Falspawn though, and ARKS HQ thinks that’s just what’s required to ensure our operatives are in fighting shape for the summer. This exercise will require operatives to join squads of 11 other Arks while battling Falspawn in the surf and sand. The exercise will be deemed “completed” after the squad has amassed a total of 800 points, though the total allowable quest time is limited to 30 minutes. Preliminary runs of this exercise have netted a few interesting rewards, which are displayed below.

Due to the warm weather, Arks are encouraged to dress appropriately for the location, and if they do they will gain a PSE Outfit Bonus effect for the duration they are in the attire and the Beach Wars Urgent Quest, visit this this page to know what you should wear! Effects experienced thus far have been increased EXP gain and an increased rare item drop rate.

Rappy and Nyau are also looking to stay cool for the summer, and recent reports have indicated their attire has changed to reflect the season. Of course, their nature hasn’t changed, so Arks are directed to carry out their previous orders in regards to their destruction. Reports have indicated that they are carrying a few different things lately, so operatives may be able to recover the below listed items after their dispatch.

[h2]BEACH BINGO[/h2]

Get ready for Bingo, Arks! Just sign up for the “Beach Wars!” Urgent Quest and begin eradicating Falspawn and incapacitating Oceanids. As you go, you’ll be informed when you’ve completed a task and the Bingo square number will be briefly displayed at the bottom of your screen. Your ARKS Bingo Card can be accessed through the main menu, then selecting “Current Events” and “ARKS Bingo Card.” To view what tasks you have yet to complete, click on the name of the ARKS Bingo Card–in this case “Summer 2020 Bingo”–and select “View Details.” The tab that displays by default is named “View Bingo Card,” and this is where you can view remaining squares to be completed. The other Tab is named “Bingo Completion Reward” and this is where you view what rewards you have yet to receive. Finally, the number of times you get a “BINGO” –all squares completed in a straight line, may or may not include the “Free” space in the middle– may qualify you for one of the rewards listed below!

Make sure you pick up the Client Orders from Xia, as some of the Bingo squares are related to completing these for her!
