Hey all buckyballers!

How's your Open Weekend?

Last week we posted a silhouette for our next character coming into the July BETA, however, he/she is not the only new face that players will be able to play next month!

While we still cannot disclose more characters now, here's a screenshot of him that you might be familiar with.



Ring a bell? That's right! We've previously made him into our Preseason trailer last November!

Besides new characters, we'd also like to offer buckyball fans with new skin concepts for Eriel and of course our beloved Sky! These skins will likely be available in the upcoming July BETA.





We'll reveal more contents about the July BETA as the date comes closer, so make sure to follow our Discord and Twitter so you don't miss out on the latest news about it!

[h3]The Open Weekend server has just opened and all players are welcomed to join this event![/h3]



To be able to play, simply download the Demo under our full game steam page. The server will close again at 4 AM CET June 7th (10 PM ET June 6th). We’ll only open EU server this time and players will be playing on the February BETA build.

Make sure to record your gameplay this time and send us your best in-game clips so it could be featured in our official Top 5 Plays!

Some players might be confused with a playtest without any content updates, but this was actually intended. The idea of the Open Weekend was originally proposed by some of our core players who are desired to play SBT in between the two BETAs, when the game is under still active development and therefore not available to the public. After listening to their ideas, we set up these little events where players could play one of our old SBT builds for a weekend just to have some fun.

For those who’re interested in playing new builds, the next BETA is just around the corner and we’re planning on having it out sometime in July, stay tuned on our Discord and social media so you can get the latest updates on that！

[h3]Open Weekend is CONFIRMED![/h3]

Based on the Discord poll results we got from players over the past week, we’ve finally confirmed to host another Open Weekend event in June, prior to the July BETA opening!

The server is scheduled to open next Friday, at 10 AM CET June 4th (4AM ET) and close at 4 AM CET June 7th (10 PM ET June 6th). We’ll only open EU server this time and players will be playing on the February BETA build.

All players are welcomed to join this event and we'll put out the Demo download a few minutes prior to the server opening.

While there might be community tournament arranged by our core players within our Discord server, we’ll test out the first episode of the official Top 5 Plays during the event, feel free to record and submit your best in-game moments to us on Discord, Twitter or via email!

Hi all buckyballers,

It's been over a month since we had our last SBT Open Weekend, did you miss the game?

In the past Discord AMA sessions, we've told players that there might be another playtest between now and the next BETA in July.

While there're still uncertainties about the next Open Weekend event, we'll try our best to have the server available, if many players are desired to play.

The scheduled date for the next Open Weekend is June 4th and the idea is to only open server in EU.

A simple poll is prepared on Discord under the announcement channel, please react with Yes or No to our latest post to show your interests in playing the Open Weekend in June! We'll decide whether or not to host the event depending on the amount of interest from players.

If you still haven't joined our Discord yet, this is also a great opportunity to interact with fellow buckyballers and receive the latest insights about SBT.

We're also planning on trying out a brand-new video series called official Top 5 plays, starting from this Open Weekend. During the event, players can record their best in-game moments and send it to us during or after the event finishes. We'll carefully select & edit the Top 5 moments after the playtest and show it to all players. There'll be more details about it once we secured the June Open Weekend but yeah, be prepared!

Hi buckyballers,

Hope you had fun in the last open weekend! We plan to schedule another one in May, make sure to come and play since we're likely to have more servers opened next time!

During the open weekend in April, we received suggestion from a player in the Discord AMA in which we should host official Top 5 plays contest for every playtest in the future.

We thought its a great idea, not only to encourage old players to record their best clips but also to showcase the amazing gameplay footage to potential new players.

Since apparently most players didn't take notice of it in April, therefore we'll be proposing it in the open weekend in May. Let me know what you think of this idea and if you liked it, remember to record your clips when the test arrives!

Also a quick update on the next BETA. We can confirm that there'll be new character coming into the next BETA along with a singleplayer season mode and more! More details will be shared in a later date.
