James “Wild Bill” Hickok[/h3]
One of the most famous gunfighter, gambler, and lawman in the American Old West history.
He fought (and spied) for the Union Army during the American Civil War. After the war, he gained fame as a scout, marksman, and professional gambler.
He was involved in several loud duels! 🔫🔫🔫
What's interesting, he was afraid of being shot in the back, so in the places he visited, he always tried to sit down so that there was a wall behind him.
On the day he died, he could not find such a place!Hickok was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame. The card hand he held at the time of his death is known today as poker's "
Dead Man's Hand".
