Gunslingers & Zombies Devlog #43 - ”Friendly reminder” - 7 days to EA Release!

Hello Gunslingers!
We're fast approaching an Early Access release date - we thought it to be the best time to recheck some of the basics!
As you're going to be put in charge of the cowboys and gunslingers appearing in the game very soon we believe it will not hurt to remind you about some of the general rules of the game that we hope you will have a lot of fun with! Let's collectively take some advice from... the game itself!

Advice No. 1 - Zombies can't see you unless you are in the red zone of their sight. You can always check it if you simply mouse over the zombie. As long as you stay out of the zone their movements will be unfocused. Alternatively - if you enter the zone you might expect them to come crawling at you!

Advice No. 2 - Be mindful of your action points. You have two points that you need to share between moving and acting. If you sprinted (moved out of the green zone into yellow zone) your character will consume both action points leaving you without the possibility to do anything else. Rushing the zombie might work against you!

Advice No. 3 - Check your opponents! You can learn their health points, you will see a hit chance of your own attack and many more! Be sure to search for the opportunities to flank the opponents in order to maximize your chances of survival and the chance to kill a zombie with one hit!

Advice No. 4 - Be mindful of your teammates! Heal them when they need healing or simply move them back to allow them a much needed breather. Remember that you are commanding a whole team and not just a one character - as long as you keep them all relatively healthy your chances of winning do increase!

Thank you for the continuous support and see you soon in the game itself!

Best regards,
Gunslingers and Zombies Team

Let's open the doors to the Happy New Year!

Hello Gunslingers!
Happy New Year 2021 to all of you!
For some - New Year is a time of completely new opportunities. We like to imagine it as a chance for our Cowboys and Cowgirls to leave the zombie-infested past behind and start a new - perhaps safer - adventure that will lead them to discover absolutely new experiences!

They're boarding the train leaving for a new haven - a place where they will be able to have some rest and relaxation, to grow stronger and more determined. They are happy now and they already celebrate the prospect of reaching new heights. And we are happy for them similarly as we are happy for all of you joining us in this celebration.

Just like in case of our heroes - we hope that this New Year will be a start of many new great adventures for all of you. We hope that starting from the very first day of 2021 you will be faced with only great and pleasant opportunities and that you will grab as many of them as possible. Have a Happy New Year!

Let's open the doors to the New Year!

Best regards,
Gunslingers and Zombies Team

Merry Christmas from Gunslingers & Zombies Team!

Hello Gunslingers!
Festivities are upon us and we would love to wish you all the best!
We strongly believe that our Cowboys and Cowgirls deserve to celebrate Christmas even among the zombies-infested lands of Wild West. Besides - perhaps zombies also celebrate Christmas and take some time off of their chomping and biting duties?

Looking at how our heroes took their time to dress up the Christmas tree and prepare gingerbread and other treats we believe it is so. May this be the night when zombies speak in human language and for a single night can communicate with each other. Wouldn't that be great? Let's put the guns away and talk about our differences. It's a perfect time to do that!

And we would love to wish you all peaceful and happy Christmas, full of pleasant surprises, great food and unique Christmasy atmosphere. And don't forget to prepare your Christmas tree! It's very important!

Merry Christmas!

Best regards,
Gunslingers and Zombies Team

Gunslingers & Zombies Devlog #42 - ”Life of a Zombie”

Hello Gunslingers!
We’ve got so preoccupied with killing zombies that we’ve never ever stopped for a single moment to wonder what their life looks like...
Of course - you don’t quite get a chance to ponder about the life of someone who is actively trying to bite your head off however in those few moments of peace and quiet thoughts tend to drift away from the mundane problems of life and start to focus on things normally… unthinkable.

For example - Josephine, right there in the picture above, did we ever wonder what her story is? How did she become a zombie, what had happened in her past? While obviously we can only imagine the details the game itself provides us with a very short description of her story as a zombie. In her case… well… I don’t think anyone is going to be Josephine’s friend ever again…

Let’s focus on Mike. See? He might have been a very regular person, completely ordinary guy who… bit a leg. That’s a bit strange. I cannot help but wonder - did he do that to his own leg or did he bit someone’s leg? I’m not quite sure but allow me to maintain my distance from Mike. I kind of need my legs...

But it’s not like all Zombies are so aggressive and went through periods of unjustified aggression toward other people. Some of them just didn’t quite like the radio playing near their location and decided to swallow the thing. Interesting thing is that perhaps they did it in one big gulp? And now they have the radio eternally playing in their stomach, attracting other zombies to them… In a way Allen made himself to be a real party animal… or should I say party zombie? Zombie animal?

If you get a chance - give yourself a moment to think about the zombies and their past. Who knows what will you discover!

Best regards,
Gunslingers and Zombies Team
