Hot on the heels of a nomination for Best Music and Score at The Game Awards, Metal: Hellsinger has won the Golden Joystick Award for Best Audio!

We can't tell you what an honor this is. The Golden Joystick Awards are entirely voted for by the community so we know we have all of you to thank!

We would of course not be here if it weren't for the incredible Two Feathers composers, who wrote an absolutely face melting score. The same goes for the vocal talent, who threw themselves into the project wholeheartedly and imbued the music with even greater power.

Here is what Elvira and Nicklas of Two Feathers have to say about the win. “We are thrilled and incredibly proud to be selected as the winners of this award. It has been a pure joy to be a part of creating this game with the incredible development team at The Outsiders, whose talents and hard work made a fun, unique game that we know will stay loved by fans for years to come.

This is the first discount the game has enjoyed since launch, and we look forward to initiating new Hellsingers to the integral joy of obliterating demons to the beat of heavy metal.

Last week’s free update to the game added a series of accessibility and difficulty options, including free controller remapping, dead zone settings, a system cursor option, and a new Assist Mode.



If you want to smack demons and groove to the music without worrying about keeping up with or waiting for the beat, the new Assist Mode is for you.

This mode makes every shot count as on-beat, which makes a huge difference in terms of damage, weapon effect, and keeping the music going. Keep in mind that playing in this mode will omit you from the leaderboards.

With this patch available, the discount, and community-made mods coming in with new songs to change up the game, now is a fantastic time to dive into Metal: Hellsinger.

Today's update brings a series of options that provide extensive tweaking of your experience.

As we contemplated the nature of metal, a truth came to us through the blazing ether: anyone should have the chance to enjoy the thrill of slaying demons to kickass music, and we should improve that ease of access.



For this reason, we've collected a number of accessibility features to increase your ability to change how you experience the game.

[h3]Assist Mode: Always on Beat[/h3]
Make every shot count as on beat (omits you from the leaderboards).

[h3]Color Picker Options[/h3]
Change the hue of your rhythm indicator and reticle.

[h3]Dead Zone Settings[/h3]
Adjust the Dead Zone for both left and right joystick separately.

[h3]Free Controller Mapping[/h3]
Remap every button on your controller.

[h3]System Cursor[/h3]
Override the game cursor with the windows system cursor, letting you pick its size and color.
