— Fixed an issue when some players experienced a black screen on game start (this won't help with all black screens since there are a few more cases, but will solve this one)

Enchants functionality changes
— Infinite enchant now increases the cost of the card by 1X after every use
— Vigor now doubles the amount of charges on a card
— Static now reduces the cost of the card in half if it was in your hand at the time of redraw (it can go to 0 after a few redraws)

Other stuff
— cairns visuals updated
— trickster boss now does not spawn in act 1
— rune of gust visuals updated
— locale fixes here and there

Bugs and optimisation
— A pathfinding fix that should solve problems with huge spawns leaving stuck units in terrain and breaking pathfinding in lategame. Please let us know if you see this breaking after this patch

Game systems optimisation

— Improved garbage collection (should bring less lag spikes in late game fights)
— Improved orx collision performance (should bring less constant cpu lag from large armies)
— Improved object pool (should reduce lag on ultra fast attack speed units during firing)

ORX — Celebrating the First Day of Early Access

Greetings, orx slayers!

Yesterday ORX has finally entered Early Access. Join us as we share details about the Launch, info on upcoming bug fixes and content from our fellow ORX enjoyers.

On its launch day, ORX went up to the 18th place on the Global Top Sellers chart. We’ve received a lot of positive feedback from you, including Steam Reviews — which are now 91% positive! All thanks to our community - so keep voicing your opinion in the reviews, the discussions and our Discord, hearing from you always helps us!

So, what do we have planned next? Just in case you’ve missed it, here is our Early Access Road Map



Do keep in mind that these are only the main updates planned — we might add even more things during the Early Access, based on your feedback and ideas!

We also have some news to share — with this update, ORX now supports Polish and Japanese languages! Next week we're planning on adding Korean and Traditional Chinese.

[h3]Patch Notes - Ver 0.9.1.8[/h3]

Right now we’re busy at work squatting bugs, which you reported to us so far. Here’s a list of what has been fixed so far:
  • Optimised weather effects causing freezes and high CPU load
  • Fixed a bug causing incorrect castle merging
  • Balanced vault quest difficulty curve
  • Adjusted Act 1 to Act 2 difficulty ramp
  • Fixed the missing localizations on menus and buttons
  • Fixed the unlock of the second faction after abandoning the run
  • Removed Rune Guardian cards from the random rare card drops for Dune Reavers
  • Fixed speed buff attributes (both for player's units and ORX)
  • Fixed damage per second for Swarm and Tank ORX classes in later Acts
  • Fixed a bug causing cards to get stuck in the middle of the screen
  • Removed "Build a Castle" quest from the Dune Reaver's vault quest pool
  • Fixed the tutorial freeze whenever multiple tutorial windows overlap
  • Fixed an issue with tooltips not being partially hidden below the bottom part of the screen
  • Fixed rune animation bug causing an animation lag
  • Lots of Localisation fixes for different languages
  • Fixed act and corruption reward modifier
  • Fixed 2 and 3 Act Vault generation

[h3]Main Known Issues[/h3]

Still we have some issues for which we don’t have a permanent solution just yet. We will keep updating you on the ETA of fixes for them.

These include
  • Fixing Trixturgh boss fight
  • Softlock of the progress after cancelling boss death animation. We recommend abandoning a run and collecting the rewards if you have encountered this one. Additionally, we ask everyone who has this issue to report it in the feedback section of the Steam discussion!
  • Ultra Widescreen support
  • Issue with ORX launching on the wrong monitor. For now you can press Alt+Tab to switch the game to Windowed mode, drag it to the preferred monitor and press Alt+Tab again.
  • Lag spikes and FPS drops
