Dear friends!

You were waiting patiently for another update that would fix the issues with the connection. And we made it! Now you will have a way better ping during online play and you will be able to play with your friends at your region via a matchmaking tool.

Achievements issues are fixed now and you will get it when you start playing the game.

Please, note, that if you have played an old version of the game (before February 2022) then you need to copy-paste your old save files to the new folder:
1) Please, opened the folder: %USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/PostmetaGamesLimited/Biped
at your local PC.
2) Open the folder:
%USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/NExTStudios/Biped
Copy-paste all the files from the 2-nd folder to the first one and launch the game. It should solve your save files problem.

Also, we will leave the previous version (better ping) live if you want to keep playing it and do not need Level Editor or an online matchmaking tool. You could find the instructions on how to switch to the old version below:

Hello!

We've heard everyone's feedback about online play and ping issues. For now, we've decided to create two separate game branches: the standard one and the one with better ping.

What's the difference?

The standard branch will be associated with the updated version of Biped, with online matchmaking and the level editor. You will be able to play WW and create new levels like you did starting from the update. We will update this version with the new online matchmaking that will have a much better ping.

The "BetterPing" branch will have the standard Biped version without Level Editor and a Public Matchmaking System meaning that you will be able to play in online COOP with your friends like you did prior to the update (sharing the room keys).

How to enable the "BetterPing" branch?

The process is very simple:

1. Go to your library and find Biped;
2. Right-click on the game and select "Properties";



3. In the pop-up select "Betas"
4. Choose "BetterPing" in the menu. To switch between versions, just open this menu again and select "none".



We are hoping to resolve the issues as soon as possible.

Also, please, copy-paste your save files from PostMeta to NextGames folder as old build uses previous save folder.

You’ll be able to not only make and share different levels with our huge community but also play together with people from all over the world! Isn’t it fun?



So, what are you waiting for? Now there is no need to ask anybody at the group chat if they would like to play together: find a live session at the game and join it to play together.

Although you can enjoy Biped’s puzzles and challenges solo, it’s always better when you do it together!

Luckily, our Discord server often acts as a meeting point for solo adventurers looking for new friends. But with time differences between continents and whatnot, finding a player 2 isn’t always easy.



The new “Biped - Find a Friend Friday” is all about connecting people for Biped’s super fun co-op mode. Check in on our Discord server each Friday to find new players!

For now, it seems that globally the most popular time to play Biped is around 13:00–14:00 UTC (UK time). Here are some corresponding time zones for reference:

• EST (New York, Florida): 08:00–09:00
  
• PST (California, Washington): 05:00–06:00
  
• GMT+8 (Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong): 21:00–22:00
  
• GMT+11 (Sydney, Melbourne): 00:00–01:00
  

If you’re looking for a co-op partner, make sure to hop onto our Discord server on Fridays! You don’t have to play then and there, but you might well just meet a friend who lasts a lifetime.
