Clarifying Sandrock Version Numbers and Hotfix Patch Dec. 13

Howdy Builders!

We're upgrading our version numbering system to enhance clarity across all platforms. Let's take V1.2.3.4 as an example as an example,

The first number ‘1’ is the major version, kicking off with V1.0 as the official release. If a significant update comes next summer, like cross-platform multiplayer, it could be V2.0. Until then, it's V1.x.

The second number ’2‘ signals new content based on the previous version. So, if the next update adds more cool stuff, it might become V1.2, V1.3, and so on.

The third number ‘3’ is for monthly fixes. Think of it as regular housekeeping—no new content, just tweaking and improving. This happens about once a month. If V1.2.3 is out, the next month might bring a maintenance update, making it V1.2.4.

The fourth number ‘4’ is for emergency bug fixes. If something needs a quick fix after a release, they add a number here.

So, V1.2.3.4 means after V1.0, there were two updates with new things, followed by three regular monthly tune-ups. After the third tune-up, there were four quick bug fixes.

This change aims to provide a straightforward understanding of updates and ensure consistency across all platforms, promoting more efficient communication for everyone.

Here is the changelist for Ver. 1.1.2.5:
 • Fixed an issue where there was still a quest marker above Mort's head after completing all related content in the 'Gone with the Wind' quest.
 • Fixed a conflict between the post The Alliance Summit plot and the Showdown at High Noon events
 • Fixed a bug in the 'Fragrant Memories' quest that caused the game to freeze when triggered during the Lockdown.
 • Fixed an issue where the 'Goodbye, Nia' quest couldn't be correctly triggered in certain situations.
 • Fixed a problem in the 'Birthday Blues ' quest where Catori was occupied by other tasks, preventing her from reaching the museum for an extended period.
 • Fixed a camera freeze issue after meeting with Luna during the 'The Alliance Summit' quest
 • Fixed a freeze issue when watching the game summary report in Spanish.
 • Fixed a bug where both Matilda and Trudy would speak at the same time during the Day of the Bright Sun
 • Fixed an exploit where players' children could endlessly receive gifts.
 • Fixed an issue where players' children might appear in the town square.
 • Fixed a problem where Yan appeared in town during some special time
 • Fixed clipping issues with Unsuur's Deputy Hat and hair.
 • Fixed some quest-triggered freezes during the Showdown at the High Noon

Devlog: 4th Week Post Launch
Howdy Builders,
Time flies, and it's been a whole month since the official release of My Time at Sandrock. For us, it's been a whirlwind month, juggling between fixing issues and squeezing in every moment to develop new content. Despite the race against time, we're committed to addressing all the bugs, ensuring the game is enjoyable for everyone who supported us.

With new players joining post-release, your feedback and expectations push us to meet the mark. We all share a deep desire to see the game blossom, to create a space where more can truly savor its magic. As we wait, hopeful for the moment when our combined efforts make it shine anew. Thanks for your ongoing support and lively discussions!

After last week's maintenance update, valuable feedback poured in. For critical issues like crashes, we swiftly released patches. Less severe but impactful bugs were accumulated for efficient resolution. This week, more critical situations arose, leading to an emergency update a couple of days ago, with another hotfix planned today. Updating is highly recommended.

Regarding new content, an update is scheduled before Christmas in December, with progress moving smoothly. Crucial features are falling into place. We're preparing the first QA build for testing over the next two weeks. We might seek assistance from some enthusiastic players for closed testing. The plan is still to release it to all players before Christmas.

Among them, the two features in Catori World that are most interesting - the carousel and roller coaster, are now implemented. Excitingly, we have a new location for play/date!

That's all for this week, thanks being part of our community! And you can also let us know your thoughts below Singleplayer / Multiplayer / Localization Survey. Your valuable insights will help us improve future journeys. Please take a moment to fill them out.
