Sandrock Roadmap 2.0

[h3]Howdy all, [/h3]

What do you think of Logan Strikes Back!? Due to optimization, we have postponed some things that were planned for early June. And we've received a lot of feedback from all of you since the new big update, which we've been reading and discussing. Then, we adjust and confirm the next Three updates, let's see what will happen soon.

[h3]End of Sep./Early Oct.[/h3]
This regular update is mostly about the stables, which should be featured in Logan Strikes back! Please understand that it was pushed back due to optimization.
  • Add the stables and some hotfix;

[h3]Late Oct./Early Nov.[/h3]
It doesn't include the main story but is all about features and systems (because voice acting takes time).
  • Add pet system: We’re trying to make the new pet system different from Portia’s, more details coming later;
  • Add Show House option to workshop customization (base version): If you don't want to spend time customizing your home, you can choose from preset model homes. This is the basic version, more will be added later.
  • Add the Reply feature, you can reply to whoever sends you mails;
  • Add more interactions, e.g. hug and kiss
  • Add more wall and roof appearances in the workshop customization
  • Add some functional furniture
  • Add Sand Running suits
  • Add some new fishes
  • Adjust the knowledge system, including the function and stats

[h3]Late Nov./Early Dec.[/h3]
This updates the main story and includes some new features and systems
  • Add new main stories
  • Add 3 new main stories’ dungeons
  • Add 1 new mining dungeon
  • Add Fang's story and unlock his romance feature once you've completed his story
  • Add some NPCs’ romance stories
  • Add some new Sandfishing spots, as well as the advanced sandfish trap
  • Add the face lifting function
  • Add weather: raining and snowing
  • Add some relics, as well as the behavior of NPCs visiting antiquities/relics

Roadmap 2.0 is our newly adjusted roadmap towards to December. This is just a preview of some important updates, so it doesn't include details. After these features are previewable, we will announce more.
As much as we can, we will strive to meet these goals. But alterations may have to be made during development sometimes. When there is a change, we will notify everyone as soon as possible.

[h3]At the end: A special note about using mods and cheat apps[/h3]
After reviewing recently reported bugs, we've found that about 1/5 of bugs that cause crashes or problems are from cheat apps or mods.
Below is a log file showing the cheat app's records.

The stats of each system in the game are interconnected. Changing just one element can lead to unpredictable chain reactions. Therefore, we would like to remind builders: Beware of cheat engines and mods, it's better not to use them. Otherwise, unexpected errors and problems may occur, and save files may not even be restored. Correction: Sandrock does support player-made mods, but it is still an early access game, so mods may cause unknown errors at this stage. Our goal is to make our game fully mod-compatible in the future.

Hotfix Patch on Sep. 8

Howdy all,

A new hotfix patch is released to address some frequently reported issues. Follow-up quests for Buckin' Bronco unlock, allowing you to continue the story from where you left off last time.

Furthermore, we're trying to tweak our roadmap based on your suggestions and some delayed content. Once we are ready, we'll let you know what happens next.

  • Fixed a bug where Kid wouldn't go to his room in the Blue Moon Saloon
  • Fixed an issue where the player's stance would overlap with Ri-an's stance when in the Game Center in the quest, Opportunities Abound

  • Fixed an issue where Owen's overhead information was abnormal after completing the quest, Lost Tourist
  • Fixed an issue that a table was unexpectedly showing on in the fireside meeting
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Masquerade Ball Mask and some gear to appear in odd positions when worn at the same time
  • Fixed an issue where simple circuits required to assemble some machines were incorrectly shown as switchboards
  • Fixed an issue where the upgraded game center would incorrectly show in other old saves
  • Fixed an issue where player homes could fail to load
  • Fixed an issue where the X was on Fang's shoulder and could not be interacted with in some missions
  • Fixed an issue that caused Justice's overhead information to be hidden when riding a horse

  • Fixed issue with incorrect roof items' position in home edit mode
  • Fixed an issue where the ability to show/hide encyclopedia prop descriptions was not working correctly
  • Fixed an issue where some items were shown repeatedly when viewing the output of the Recycler.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the player's skin color to change when using the Randomize feature in Pablo's Parlor
  • Fixed an issue where clicking the back button would not exit the inspection UI
  • Fixed an issue where the vision system could report an error when monsters were removed
  • Fixed an issue where the donation UI would cause a crash
  • Fixed a freezing issue with the mailbox interface

Hotfix Patch on Sep. 6

Howdy all,

We would like to inform you that this will be the first patch to fix some issues in the new major update. We have another hotfix patch coming later this week, so check out the list of changes below!

[h3]Added & Adjustment:[/h3]
  • Added descriptions to openable items
  • Adjusted semi-finished products no longer have item effects
  • Adjusted the appearance of Grace's freckles
  • Adjusted the refresh rate and values of Store gols
  • Increased the price of items sold to the shop by 20%
  • Increased the Petrified Wood drop rate
  • Increased the number of advanced Commission, reducing the situation that advanced Commission are not easy to complete
  • Increased the drop rate of Simple Circuits
  • Optimized material drop rates in Shipwreck Ruins and added bullets as drop items
  • Optimized the behavior of Justice, Unsuur, and Captain when running into the desert in the quest, The Kidnapping
  • Turning off the tracking function of some accessible tasks temporarily. This feature may cause icons to appear abnormally.

  • Fixed an issue in which plants can't be moved in Edit Home mode
  • Fixed an issue with mounts following into indoor scenes

  • Fixed an issue with plants and rocks remaining in the upgraded yard
  • Fixed an issue where Haru showed up in the Sandrockers Met
  • Fixed a freezing issue when loading saves if the builder was playing/dating with NPCs
  • Fixed a problem with the spar that could cause the game to freeze during Cheery Conspiracy
  • Fixed incorrect maximum number of prompts to Experiment per week
  • Fixed some issues after completing the quest, Relapse
  • Fixed some issues related to the quest Relapse
  • Fixed the problem that the Masquerade Ball final step could pass the due
  • Fixed the freezing issue when the quests The Kidnapping and The Moonlighter trigger simultaneously
  • Fixed the ranch store disappearing issue
  • Fixed traps that could cause freezing in the desert cave

We released a hotfix patch and try to address some issues first, and the team is reviewing and investigating loading issues, freezes, frame drops, and other related issues. Please wait for future hotfix updates.

  • Fixed an issue where some textures were blurry at low graphics settings
  • Fixed some bugs in the mounting system
  • Fixed an issue with Boxing Machines interacting before being placed
  • Fixed sand wall modeling issue
  • Fixed a footstep issue in the deep desert
