Hotfix patch of Alpha 0.3.24a73fc9

Hello Sandrockors,

We released a hotfix patch to the beta update, please check changelist below:

-Fixed bug where the character's face decoration would blur with the graphic setting changes
-Fixed bug where players would keep falling in the wild caves
-Fixed some texts
-Fixed bug where Owen was not able to sit down when he treats you a meal
-Fixed pathfinding data
-Fixed issues getting stuck when moving players in the opening storyline
-Fixed bug where items were displayed incorrectly and in the commission order submission UI
-Fixed player model error
-Fixed Dew Collector effects
-Adjusted camera item to be able to stack together
-Optimized Abandoned Ruins UI, and drops can now be viewed when unlocked
-Fixed the issue where switching scenarios might cause a crash
-Fixed the issue where workshop manuals might cause a crash
-Fixed bug with chat conversations with NPCs after placing orders
-Removed a Geegler Graffiti that could not be generated from the wrong location
-Fixed the issue that Builder Cruise can't be completed, and the bench is craftable in the worktable -now
-Fixed the issue where Owen doesn't go out of his room
-Fixed the issue where Restoration Machine takes extra cameras when crafting
-Optimized Justice and Unsuur's routine behaviors

New Beta Update Out Now!

[h3]Howdy all,[/h3]

Sorry for the long wait, but we’ve released the much-awaited romance update to the Closed Beta players. A huge amount of new content has been added, so it’s time to update your game and experience new stories! If you’ve been playing the Demo version, make sure to go to the game properties from your Steam library and switch from the Demo branch back to the Beta branch!

Because we’ve added so much new content and adjusted many settings, it may affect your old saves, meaning that some of you may lose your progress and need to start a new adventure. Although it can be painful to have to start all over, these optimized features and new stories will help the game feel more fresh and complete - there’s an estimated 20-30 hours of gameplay content total now (and yes, there are now new hairstyles)!

While waiting on getting the needed rating certification so that Early Access can finally begin, we’re still fully focused on making and adding new content, and will keep fixing bugs, listening to your feedback, and optimizing the game more. If you meet any issues, you can start a thread in the Steam Report a Problem subforum or join our Discord beta channels to discuss with us.

Beta update preview

[h2]Howdy all Sandrockers, [/h2]

The new update to Sandrock beta is around the corner. We’ll try to bring it to you late this week or early next week.

Let’s check out some of what’s new!

[h3]Time to Date[/h3]
Introducing the much-anticipated (drumroll please) … Romance & Play! Your chance has come to invite one of your fellow Sandrockers to hang out and get closer before possibly becoming more than just friends. You can have a walk to appreciate the scenery, sit beside the pool, set off fireworks, or go to the ranch to take photos with Yakmels and other animals in Sandrock... and perhaps spark some love. You decide how you and your chosen one are going to enjoy your time together!


[h3]New stories are added[/h3]
You’ll have new stories and missions after the update! Times are hard in the desert, now more than ever, so to help keep spirits up, you and other Sandrock residents will be able to enjoy becoming the Fast and the Furious in the desert!


[h3]New Interiors are added[/h3]
We have interiors optimized and new ones added, with the tailor’s house shown below. We optimized it with many details to make the lights, the atmosphere, the items, and everything inside give a great sense of character and look great, to boot. The barber shop is new to Sandrock (with new missions along with it - are you ready to meet the new friend?) so there will be more to explore soon!


[h3]New pets are added[/h3]
Who doesn't love cute pets? We made our office cat into a pet in Sandrock, so everyone can have him in the near future! Isn’t he a cutie? You'll also be able to find more cute pets by yourself!


[h3]Last but not least[/h3]
The most wanted person in all of Sandrock…? You’ll encounter him again very soon!


All this and more are coming soon to the Beta version! With your feedback, we’ll be able to optimize them further by the time Early Access starts.

Next Update Coming Soon!

[h3]Exciting news and a heartfelt thank you for all the fantastic Portians out there: new things are brewing for all versions of the My Time world, including Portia PC, console, mobile and Sandrock![/h3]

Mobile Portia? Yes! We’re launching the in-house ported iOS and Android versions very soon! You’ll be able to carry your Portia adventures with you in your pocket! In addition to unique optimizations and the ability to save anytime, the mobile port will include new features and other fun items, some of which were designed by fans in contests!

As for existing versions, we’re elated that the console versions will soon be updated to match PC versions in content, including NPC content, the ability to change your character’s look after creation, and the fun DLC outfits! Bugfixes and optimizations will also arrive in this highly anticipated update; the (frankly massive) change-list will be posted after the update goes live. The build is in the submission process to platform holders.

And lest the PC version be forgotten: new things will be coming to the PC version as well, and not just the huge amount of new voiced lines we mentioned before! We’ll have a changelist soon! We’re also hoping to bring some of the optimization from the mobile version to the PC version, so that less capable computers can run the game.

We’re also very proud to say that the second My Time game, My Time at Sandrock, received no less than five awards at the ChinaJoy-Game Connection INDIE GAME Development Awards last week. We’re doing our best to continue making the next game a more than worthy sequel to Portia.

Not to get too sappy, but an honest thank you for your support for this little post-apocalyptic world of ours over the past four years, from the Portia Kickstarter campaign in 2017 to the realization of the second game now. It’s been difficult at times, yes, but it’s been a fulfilling journey with all of you at our side, helping us grow in so many ways. We now have a beautiful world and a delightful community, each of which will evolve with the addition of Sandrock to what is now a series: the My Time series. We’re humbled and thankful by the support we’ve received, and we’ll use the criticism and stumbles along the way as learning experiences to make Sandrock (and beyond!) into better, more fun experiences.
