Figment 2 - Future Updates and State of the Game

Hey everyone! I can’t believe it’s been a little over two weeks since launch already

And we’re sitting at a 97% positive rating on Steam, what a surreal feeling. Thank you for playing our little game and taking the time to leave a review for the game, it really means a lot. After 5 years of work on this project, it’s heart-warming to see so many people enjoying it.

Let's chat about some updates, what is to come next, and the general state of the game:
 • Current Issues
 • Soundtrack Launch
 • Trading Cards
 • About Figment 2
 • Running the game on Steam Deck
CURRENT ISSUES
We’ve launched a patch just last week solving tons of issues. This means you will lose your current progress in the level, but not the whole game. And it’s safe to mention that when fixing things, others break. But let’s see! I'll be on the lookout for any potential problems popping up.
SOUNDTRACK IS IN PRODUCTION
Certainly the most common request, aside from bug fixes, is the availabilty of Figment 2’s OST. Niels, our in-house music man (also the Game Director) is cooking it up as we speak. The songs need some mixing and mastering and we’ll be set. Expect an announcement on that soon.

If you have any requests as to what you'd like to have on the OST let me know! Instrumentals, mixes, etc.
TRADING CARDS, BADGES, ICONS - NOW AVAILABLE
Maybe you've seen them pop up in your inventory already, but we've just added some little trading cards! Featuring some flavor from the game with characters, enemies, pieces of lore.
ABOUT FIGMENT 2
The game is no longer on launch period sale. However the bundle makes it pretty cheap if you already own Figment 1. The bundle on the game page makes the game 33% off. Until our next sale that’s a pretty good deal.

Also 97% Positive!!! That’s still crazy to me.
RUNNING ON STEAM DECK
Huzzah! The game runs perfecly fine on Deck! And I'm happy to report we haven't heard of any issues. We'll work on getting it officially certified by Valve soon too.
PLUSHY COMING SOON
...soon!

That's all I got for today, thank you for playing Figment 2. If you have any questions about the info above let me know in the comments!

Figment 2 - Patch 1.0.7

It's been almost 2 weeks since launch, Figment 2 is sitting at a 98% positive rating right here on Steam which is incredible to say the least. However there have been some bugs and issues with the game, in this patch we've tried to address them all. Of course if new things pop up please let me know in the forums or under this post and we'll get right on it.

This patch will clear the current chapter you are in, but will save your general progress.

 • Limbic Uplands: Fixed softlock where Dusty would get stuck after riding down the snake tail.
 • Outer Cerebrum: Fixed an issue where plants would not appear during the chase sequence, resulting in a softlock.
 • Outer Cerebrum: Slightly altered the layout of the level.
 • Outer Cerebrum: Added a collider to the first Black Hog encounter so you cant run past it.
 • Outer Cerebrum: Fixed an issue during the last boss battle where the gloom clouds would reappear again immediately, resulting in a softlock.
 • Conviction Lane: Small change to the island and moving platform near the Opinion on Music puzzle.
 • Frontal Lobe Plaza: Fixed an issue where the spinner on the moving platform would stop shooting, resulting in a softlock.
 • Ethics Maze: Fixed an issue where it was possible to collect an engine page twice.
 • The Moral Compass Core: Fixed some load related issues.
 • Polished the way that the shard memory menu appears on screen when unlocking memories.
 • Fixed double shard gathering and percentage not capping to 100%.
 • Improved the navmesh throughout the game.
 • Fixed various z-fighting textures.
 • Fixed an issue where a Shard Stone would glow even though it was empty.
 • Fixed an issue where it was possible to save while the death animation was playing, resulting in bugs after load.
 • Fixed various other small bugs.
 • Updated Arabic subtitles.

A more in-depth post with upcoming plans for the OST, community activities, and general Figment 2 updates will be posted in the following week as well. So stay tuned!

Thank you again for taking the time to play the game, talk to you soon :)

Figmet 2: Creed Valley review: a fun musical adventure a beat behind its predecessor

I really enjoyed the first Figment when it released back in 2017. An action-platformer with a musical theatre twist using the human mind as its stage? Very creative! Bedtime Studios’ follow-up Figment 2: Creed Valley keeps very close to the beat of the first one. You don’t need to have played Figment 1 to enjoy this sequel, but I almost feel like you’d be missing you if you didn’t (especially as it’s free on Steam right now, for today only).

Figment 2 has all the visual flair and catchy sing-songs of the first, but it feels weirdly smaller. Both games will run you about 5 hours each, but Figment 2 is a little less punchy, a little less diverse, and feels more like an encore rather than a dazzling comeback album. That’s not necessarily bad; I love an encore, and I enjoyed seeing more of Figment's surreal, subconscious mind-world. But, yeah, it’s very much the same as the first game, but with less scope and fewer fart clouds.
