Destiny 2: Lightfall almost looks good enough to make me forget the grind

A new trailer for Destiny 2: Lightfall hot and fresh out of The Geoffries tonight certainly makes the next expansion for Bungie's MMOFPS look cool. Neomuna, the neon capital megacity of Neptune, is very pretty. The new 'Strand' powers of grappling hooks and rope darts look dead cool. Bungie always have good trailers. It doesn't show any of the mindnumbing grind you'll be forced through to play the best bits but hey, that's trailers.

Happy TWABsday, Guardians! This week we have quite a bit to get into, but first, HAPPY SEASON OF THE SERAPH LAUNCH WEEK! OK, no more yelling. Destiny 2 game director responds to complaints about player burnout




When my colleague and fellow Destiny 2 veteran Phil Savage wrote about burnout earlier this week, I almost nodded my head clean off. Phil pointed out that the Destiny 2 community tends to be at its most irascible during the final season of each year, when the sameyness of the grind really bites. But he also noted that this time around people really do seem to be over the current model, which tends to lack big secrets and surprises, and that the problem is likely to get worse before it gets better...
