Weapon crafting will completely change the way Destiny 2 works and I can't wait

It says a lot about my relationship with Destiny 2, which at this point is now multiple thousands of hours deep, that while watching a brand new mission last week, the thing that got me most excited was a menu. Mostly out of a sense of decorum, let's talk about the campaign first. The mission previewed was the second from The Witch Queen's campaign, which sees you exploring the throne world of Savathûn, who is the expansion's titular big bad. Only two weeks before the launch of the next expansion - The Witch Queen - this hero has finally discovered a clue pointing towards the location where the Season of the Lost may come to a close, and the events directly leading up to The Witch Queen will commence. This comes in the form of a bridge that has been gradually expanding in the background of the Astral Alignment activity, right in front of everyone's eyes.

Fortunately for employees of Bungie, Sony's recent acquisition of the studio doesn't appear headed in that direction. A Washington Post report says Bungie leadership assured employees that there will be "absolutely no layoffs" and no "major" restructuring once the deal is finalized, and in fact roughly one-third of the $3.6 billion Sony spent on Bungie will go toward ensuring that employees stick around...
