This Week at Bungie: Huge Destiny 2 weapon and Trials changes are coming

Bungie, the development studio behind the popular live service Sci-fi FPS Destiny 2, has announced via a new blog post that a considerable number of balance changes are coming to the title ahead of the studio’s 30th anniversary event. Don’t fall asleep just yet! There’s also a new twist coming to the Trials of Osiris PvP mode.

This all is set to come to the game early in December ahead of the introduction of the new Loot Cave dungeon and the beloved Gjallahorn rocket launcher being brought in from the original Destiny. The aim appears to be smoothing out many of the rough edges the game currently has ahead of upcoming major updates, especially the Witch Queen expansion coming February 2022.

Major balance changes coming to 14 Destiny 2 exotics, including Vex, Whisper and Sleeper




Bungie has long since learned that in the absence of major content drops, the next best thing is a big fat balance patch. Destiny 2's forthcoming major expansion, The Witch Queen, won't land until 22 February 2022, but players will have the celebratory 30th Anniversary Pack to help alleviate the longueurs of this extended season. The pack launches on 7 December, bringing with it a bunch of nostalgically-themed gear and a new dungeon activity that will reward the infamous exotic rocket launcher Gjallarhorn. This Week At Bungie – 11/11/2021

This week at Bungie, we got guns over here.  

We have a lot to cover this week so I am going to keep this intro short so we can get into it. We have a new emblem for you, new Trials Labs info, a long list of weapon changes, a new fashion magazine cover, more Bungie Bounties, and a partridge in a pear tree. Actually, scratch the last one, it’s only November.
