This week in Destiny, we celebrate the Dawning.

The decorations are up in the Tower and the smell of cookies is in the air as Guardians span out across the galaxy to deconstruct their enemies for baking materials. This is our last TWID for the year, so let's get to it.

The Epic Games Store is offering folks the Destiny 2: Legacy Collection for free.

Yours to grab until December 20, the collection includes The Witch Queen, Beyond Light, and Shadowkeep. Along with the three campaigns, you can unlock 37 Exotic weapons, 15 Exotic pieces of armor, and the power of Stasis.

The Witch Queen takes you into Savathun’s Throne World to uncover how she and her Lucent Hive stole the Light. You will craft new weapons, learn the power of the new Glaive, and try to survive her web of lies.

Visit the Eververse in-game to find festively themed armor ornaments that will deck your Guardian in that warm seasonal glow.

There’s nothing like freshly fallen snow. Well, except for snowballs that fall fully formed at your foe's feet. It’s like they want to be thrown! 



[h2]New Legendary Glaive  [/h2]
What’s in that broom-shaped package that your fireteam keeps yelling at you not to shake? Wonder no more! It’s the new Albedo Wing Legendary Glaive, specially designed for this Dawning event. 



[h2]New Event Card Rewards and Challenges [/h2]
Play for free or upgrade your card to give your Guardian angelic wings and a Sparrow straight out of a winter wonderland. Unwrap your Event Card in the Quests tab in-game.  



[h2]Cozy Bungie Rewards [/h2]
Wrap yourself up in new Bungie Rewards to show off your Destiny progress in the real world. This year’s reward is a cozy new Dawning beanie.

Destiny 2 developer Bungie are staring down the barrel of a full Sony takeover if forthcoming expansion The Final Shape doesn’t meet sales expectations, according to several anonymous current and former employees. The same sources also claim that the studio are prepared to cut staff again to meet their financial obligations as a Sony subsidiary, having laid off a significant proportion of their workforce in November.
