Destiny 2 composer reveals Paul McCartney's tunes are making a comeback

Bungie composer Ella Feingold, who has been orchestrating Destiny since 2015, has posted an image on Instagram of a score sheet with a notable name on it: P. McCartney (spotted by VGC). The title of the composition has been obscured, while the orchestration is credited to Feingold and Jordan Cox, and lest there were any doubt, Feingold's caption reads "Yeah that P. McCartney. That's all I can say for now."..

This Week at Destiny - 07/27/2023

This week in Destiny, we’re donning some sweet glow action to praise the sun, talking about upcoming economy changes and the philosophy of Warden’s Law, and celebrating accessibility in games. Before we dive into this week’s shenanigans, here’s a recap of what we chatted about last week:

  • Solstice returns!
  • #Emblematic winner.
  • A message from Ghost.
  • Last chance for two Trials weapons.
  • Solstice Shades.
  • Prime Gaming Rewards.

For this week, we’re diving into:

  • Raid date time? Raid date time.
  • Veil Containment behind-the-scenes.
  • Let’s talk Warden’s Law.
  • It’s week-two of Solstice, let’s go!
  • Economy overhaul recap, plus a nod to Dead Man’s Tale.
  • Time to vote on a map. (Not that I’m pushing for Cathedral or anything...)
  • A win for accessibility, and we’re just getting started.
  • Art of the Week and Movie of the Week selections.

It's Glorbin' Time again! Now Destiny 2 players have tricked an AI site using the fake boss Glorbo

This had the effect of tricking AI article generators that were trawling the subreddit into "thinking" the character was real, and then creating and posting stories about players who "eagerly anticipate the changes Glorbo will bring to the game."..

Bungie seems to have 'accidentally' leaked a glimpse at Destiny 2's next subclass

I don't normally cover Destiny 2 leaks, but the timing of the latest one is so suspicious that I think it's worth a look. Yesterday, a redditor posted a short video to r/Destiny2Leaks that showed a guardian beaming into the H.E.L.M. social space. What's remarkable about the clip is that at the two-second mark we see a few frames of UI that show a completely new super icon. The UI also uses a red colourway not currently found in the game, leading pretty much anyone who watched it to speculate that this might be a glimpse of the game's next subclass...

Despite $500,000 win against abusive 'fan,' Destiny 2 developers are still being harassed 'just because they work at Bungie'

Bungie recently won nearly $500,000 in damages from a Destiny 2 player who subjected one of its community managers to repeated racist harassment and threats. The victory was hailed by developers at Bungie and beyond as a significant step forward in the effort to eliminate abuse from "fans": Kathryn Tewson, a paralegal who worked on the case, said the ruling in favor of Bungie "has created a path for those with the resources to identify stochastic terrorists and hold them accountable" in court...
