Cyberpunk 2077 News

A hidden picture of Cyberpunk 2077's devs has just been discovered in-game, naturally it's near a giant burger

Psst, did you know that the Cyberpunk 2077’s devs had added a fresh little secret to the game alongside one of its recent updates? Well, CD Projekt did just that, and to see it, you’ll have to get up close and personal with a giant burger.

While it’s fun knowing that work has kicked off at CD Projekt on the game’s highly-anticipated sequel, even if some of the studio’s other projects are still shrouded in mystery, it’s still going to be a good while until any of them arrive. So, you can hardly blame one player for having stumbled across this secret by (checks notes) taking in the views from atop a fast food joint.

The joint in question is Tom’s Diner, the eatery where you meet up with Takemura early on in the base game’s main story - you know, not long after all of that relic stuff goes down. As YouTuber Ian Ilano TV has spotted (thanks, GamesRadar), following the game’s big 2.1 update, if you clamber up on the roof of this fine establishment, you can encounter a fun little easter egg involving a picture of some CD Projekt devs.

Patch 2.12

Patch 2.12 for Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty is live. It focuses on main issues experienced by players after Patch 2.11, such as key bindings.

Check out the list of changes below for details:
PC-specific
• It will now be possible to properly rebind the Radioport and dropping bodies to a different key on AZERTY keyboards. Switching quest objectives will now be assigned to the T key on all keyboards.
 • Fixed an issue where trying to bind the T key to actions in Exploration & Combat resulted in a "Binding Failed" error.
 • Together with Intel we fixed the stuttering issue that occurred while the "Prioritize P-Cores" option was enabled.
 • Together with Razer we fixed a crash that occurred when using Razer Chroma enabled devices.
 • Fixed an issue where NPC hair could appear extremely bright inside vehicles when Ray Tracing is enabled.
 • Fixed a crash that occurred on Steam Deck when playing with Ray Tracing enabled.
All Platforms
• Fixed an issue causing the inability to access the menu, inventory, stash, holocalls and fast travel.
 • Updated the description of the Sonic Shock quickhack so that it properly reflects the changes made to its behavior in 2.1.
 • Improved visibility of the controller cursor in menus and when using computers or keypads. This change will primarily help Steam Deck users, but will also benefit consoles and PC when using a controller.
 • New Dawn Fades - Fixed an issue where it wasn't possible to open the phone to read the notification from the Automated Delivery System.
 • I Can See Clearly Now - Lowered the Body attribute check required to move the dumpster.
 • I Walk the Line - Sasquatch's jump attack will now properly register as a hit and deal damage.
 • Riders on the Storm - Enemy cars in the chase sequence will now shoot at Panam's van.
 • Nocturne Op55N1 - Fixed an issue where, after choosing to call Reed, the conversation sometimes wouldn't trigger, blocking progression.
 • Sonic Shock will now be properly categorized as a Covert quickhack.
 • Fixed instances where groups of immortal enemies could appear across Night City.
 • Fixed an issue where some elements on the perk screen wouldn't change after switching to Colorblind Mode.
 • BioDyne Berserk will now properly have increased Crit Chance from its Reflexes Attunement.

Cyberpunk 2077's latest must-have mod lets you become an art collector, because mercs can be cultured too

If you’ve long believed that the one thing missing from Cyberpunk 2077 is the chance for V to embrace their true calling as an art snob, rather than just living in a flat full of scruffy Samurai posters, then you’re in luck thanks to a new mod.

While it’s fun knowing that work has kicked off at CD Projekt on the game’s highly-anticipated sequel, even if some of the studio’s other projects are still shrouded in mystery, it’s still going to be a good while until any of them arrive. So, in the meantime, searching Night City for pretty paintings to put up in your apartments seems like it’d be a nice hobby.

Artistic’ is a wonderfully simple name for a mod about collecting art, which is the latest work to come from prolific Cyberpunk modder Deceptious, who’s enlisted some help from a few real-life artists to bring their vision to life. What is that vision, you ask? Well, as they explain the mod’s description: “V can now choose, display, and enjoy art in their apartment(s)!”

Witcher developer's new IP is "definitely NOT a cosmic horror in feudal Japan", in case you were wondering

Bad news, fans of interesting things, it looks like the mysterious new IP in the works at The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 studio CD Projekt isn’t a cosmic horror game set in feudal Japan. It’s a very specific option to rule out, but that’s what co-CEO Michał Nowakowski has done.

While there’s been some buzz around Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel - codenamed Project Orion - recently, thanks to CD Projekt officially acknowledging that development has kicked off for it and sharing news of some additions to the team working on it, things have remained quite quiet on the Project Hadar front. Now, though, we’ve had an update on what the game won’t be, just in case you were hyped up for one very specific idea.

In response to some fan speculation about what Hadar might involve - via a tweet that happened to mention cosmic horror and feudal Japan as separate ideas - CD Projekt Michał Nowakowski has shot down the idea of it being those two things welded together in some fashion. “ can only tell [you] it’s definitely NOT a cosmic horror in feudal Japan ;),” he said, adding: “Time will come, we will spill the beans. Worry not.”
