Bullet is a Belgian Malinois, a master-pursuer trained for police work, which makes him exceptional not only as a tracker dog but also for providing emotional support. In the game, he’s introduced by the following line, which says a lot about Bullet’s character:

“Bullet’s been through as much as you have, Ellis. But he doesn’t break, he doesn’t just quit.” - Carver
