Acron: Attack of the Squirrels! News

Hold on to your acorns, everyone! Acron: Attack of the Squirrels has new content under development!

Minor game update – we added some changes and bug fixes to the game. Enjoy!

Game Updates:
- Changed the mushrooms and pumpkins to fly agaric and pumpkins with faces on the Halloween levels
- Changed color on inactive buttons for VR
- Updated skyboxes on all levels
- Polished textures in Sulky Swamp
- Changed scale on the bushes in Sulky Swamp
- Added a smaller version of update notes inside the game on the mobile side

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed numeric keyboard problem on Google Pixel phones, android version 11. This is a known problem for a lot of developers/apps right now since Android 11 was released.
- Fixed bug where "Tree ended the game" pop up kept showing when it shouldn't
- Fixed bug where acorns could get stuck underground
- Fixed bug where tree could grab squirrels that are in tunnels
- Fixed bug where the end match UI was hidden when settings were visible on mobile
- Fixed bug when the tutorial scoreboard got stuck in the front position after settings was shown

Game Updates:
- New level: Sulky Swamp
- One mobile player required to start game instead of two
- Removed region visuals/simplified room code
- Support emails include extra information
- Notch on some phones is no longer obstructing the view of the game
- Added official iPad support
- A lot of networking fixes
- Made it possible for AIs to have overlaying level structures (like bridges)
- Added new UI for selecting maps and change number of bots
- Added network message for when the tree leaves the match using the exit button which shows a message on the phones that the tree quit the match instead of disconnected
- Made one skin set free (Haunting Horrors skins)
- Gave name to all levels
- Added possibility to adjust number of bots in-between levels
- Changed how nametags look and behave, below squirrels and are hidden if you can't see the squirrel
- Moved win screen UI on phones
- AI can now throw acorn towards players
- Changed wording on some places
- Made the lobby include less info to make it feel lighter
- Chunk can no longer carry the shield inside a tunnel

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed Android crash (OBB)
- Fixed iPhone 6 crash (RAM)
- Fixed issue with Steam not being able to start match
- Fixed bug with player names in the lobby
- Players can no longer join a game without a name
- Fixed bug with tunnels looping animation when hotjoining
- Fixed bug where the acorn’s location switches between players
- Fixed bug where squirrel name tags become visible when picked up by the tree
- Fixed bug causing delay on continue button when switching between settings and match stats.
- Fixed bug with Chunk animations when not carrying shield
- Bots got stuck in a flickering movement if they were close to the acorn but on the wrong height - Fixed issue with bots getting stuck when close to an acorn
- Fixed bug where knocked out squirrels could go through tunnels
- Fixed bug where music starts over when exiting skin view on mobile
- Fixed bug with adjust bots button being clickable when it wasn’t supposed to be

We just released a patch that should fix the issue for Android users experiencing game crashes on the start-up screen. Please make sure to update your app if you're using an Android mobile device.
