It's Thursday again, and we have two more fantastic DLC for you to take your game to the next level!

So let's look at what we have for this week!

First up, we have the new Shopping Spree Tilesets! It's time to hit the mall for some retail therapy!

And for our next pack, we have Animations Select - Light! Expanding the Animations Select series with even more Elemental Battle animations, this time centered on the Element of Light!

If you play many RPG Maker games, you will quickly find out, most of them share the same default battlebacks as finding additional battlebacks or an alternate set that is high quality is difficult.



But look no further! Direct from Gotcha Gotcha Games, the RPG Maker Developers, comes The Odyssey of Fantasy: Background Collection!



This pack brings 31 different battleback1 and 2 parts - and that isn't even counting all the additional recolors and edits for different moods and times of day, which make the resources even more versatile! The overarching theme is classic fantasy and is reflected perfectly in each of the amazingly painted parts.



Mysterious forests - covering all seasons and even more esoteric choices like mushroom forests or elven ones, beautiful caves for all four elements, and all different areas of a castle from prison to throne room are waiting for you. The pack also comes with pre built battleback combinations for a quick use or for using them as backgrounds for cutscenes, credits or even as the base for a title screen.



But you may be thinking, with pieces like mushroom forests, where am I going to find the tiles to go with that... well that is no problem, Gotcha Gotcha Games has Gotcha Gotcha Covered, with 4 tileset sheets that match the MZ default resources that will fill out those environs.

The new year has arrived, in both the Western Calendar, and once the clock rings in midnight tonight, the Lunar Calendar! And we want to start the new year off with a bang… or maybe just some slapstick. It’s time for the #RPGMakerSkit Competition.

Here’s what that means: Make a 10-20 second humorous cutscene skit! Tweet out your entry for a chance to win the coveted Best in Class prize determined by our staff OR possibly win the Lucky Draw!

Cutscenes are a wonderful test of our sense of timing, visual mapping abilities, eventing skills, and our talents as writers! And with our theme of comedy, it will definitely test your sense of humor!

To be valid your entry must obey the following rules!

1. Your cutscene must be made in RPG Maker MZ!
   
2. Your cutscene must be submitted as a video tweet that includes a link to this announcement and the #RPGMakerSkit hashtag!
   
3. Your cutscene must be between 10 seconds to 1 minute in length
   
4. Your cutscene must have a comedic tone.
   
5. You must have the rights to use any materials used in your video. You must also include an additional 3 second splash screen (not included as part of the runtime) at the end of the video that includes the following: The RPG Maker MZ logo, #RPGMakerSkit, & a list of credits for any materials used.
