New DLC: Japanese Shrine & Temple, Otani Pixel Fantasy Enemy Pack 1

Today's release day is Pixelrific! Two awesome pixel art packs, one featuring tiles, the other featuring battlers, ready to make your game's art sing!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1750400/RPG_Maker_MZ__Japanese_Shrine_and_Temple_Game_Assets/

As you wander through the beautiful rural Japan, you see it - a breathtakingly beautiful temple. With its iconic roof shapes and torii, you clearly know that is what it must be. On your way through, you walk past sakura trees blooming in soft pink and gold and stone statues. Life is delightful, and so is this place.

If the picture you now have in your head is something you want to see in your game, the Japanese Shrine and Temple Game Assets pack is just what you need. Gutty Kreum did a fantastic job turning this theme into charming pixel art ready for you to use!

The tiles enable you to map a shrine or temple complex of your liking and bring enough variation to them that you can have several locations in the style that won’t look the same.

You can pick between different roof colors and several different cobbles for the ground as well. Along with the static tiles there are also animated options for the canals and doors, to bring some extra life to your maps!

And to make it extra accessible, Gutty Kreum included sample projects to help you envision and implement your maps, plus a small tutorial on how to map with the tiles.
So what are you waiting for? There is a temple ready to explore!

Picture this: You picked a beautiful pixelated style for your game, set up your maps, your story and then… you realize your heroes need something to fight. But where to get high quality pixel art enemies? The answer is: right here!

The Otani Pixel Fantasy Enemy Pack No 1 brings ten different monsters, each with three different versions, making it a total of 30 amazing creatures to face in battle. From skeleton to succubus and from goblin to golem, the set focuses on the basic enemies every fantasy game can make a use of.

By adding those three variations which are far more than recolors it opens a lot of interesting ways you can use them. Take the dragon for example: While they all share the incredible detailed scales and intimidating pose, one comes as a vanilla green dragon, one as a red one that breathes blue flames and the last is a black one which is covered in lightning bolts.

This allows you to use them for different regions, difficulty levels or as unique bosses, however you can imagine! No matter what you are going with, with this pack your heroes will have an interesting and exciting journey ahead of them… full of things to fight!

New DLC: Eberouge Background Image Pack 4, MUSE FANTASIA Battle Music Vol.1

You know the drill, it's Thursday, and that means new RPG Maker resource packs! This week we have a new background image collection, plus an entire soundtrack of battle music!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1737260/RPG_Maker_MZ__Eberouge_Background_Image_Pack_4/

Have you been hoping for some more background options from the Eberouge Background Image collection? If so, you’re in luck! Five Happiness is back with another set of 28 background images to help you put your players right into the scenes! Modeled like locations in a 90s 3D game, the images’ unique style can make your game’s world stand out.

This pack’s 24 unique backgrounds cover a range of interior and exterior locations that could work in a fantasy or school-themed game. Have your players attend a school where the classes are varied, with a science classroom with glass beaker and test tubes lining the shelves, an art room with paintings and sculptures strewn about, and even a potions class with herbs hanging from the rafters and a human skull next to glass bottles! Or use the image with a slightly open door during a scene where your hero overhears someone plotting to murder the king! If your hero needs a break from being inside, then the park backgrounds with their well-kept lawns and stone fountain offer a great backdrop while they relax.

Some of the backgrounds also have a second version, with different lighting or weather to best fit the scene. Have your players walk down a tree-lined dirt path during a sunny day on their way to school in one scene, and then have them bump into their crush on the same path when it’s dark and pouring, and they’re drenched to the bone. Or have a castle’s rotunda be extra bright due to sunlight streaming in through windows on a special day.

These backgrounds match the style in previous Eberouge Background Image packs, so you can expand your world even more with them all! If you’ve been looking for some new backgrounds, or have just been wanting to expand your Eberouge collection, make sure to check out Eberouge Background Image Pack 4!

For your deadly boss battles, make sure to pick the tunes that stress the danger with racing melodies and dramatic beats. This pack also has a few songs for those rare moments your heroes get to relax in a town’s tavern, with slow piano chords perfect for the end of the day or chipper strings to celebrate making it back to town in one piece!

Also included are 14 MEs to make sure even the ends of your battles sound awesome. Use one of the upbeat fanfares when you level up or win the battle, or let your players know just how bad their loss was with slow and melancholic MEs.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1715430/RPG_Maker_MZ__Pop_Fantasy_Battler_and_Face_Set/

The Pop Fantasy Battler and Face Set delivers exactly what its name promises: A pack filled with enemies you might just want to cuddle, as cute as they are. Perfect for a lighter game, or maybe even some monster catching!

Be ready for a full 172 different battlers, all both optimized for side and front view and as lovely as they can be. The majority of them are the fantasy enemies you would expect and wish for - skeletons, water monsters, and dragons, just to name a few. And to make switching to this style even easier, it also includes pieces for Actor 1-2, Nature (minus the animals), Evil and Monster set of both MV and MZ redrawn in this look! So even if you already set your heart on some of the default characters, you still have matching pieces. On top of that, for all the default character alt arts, there are also faceset optimized versions of the graphics.

To sum it up: if you want your battles to include cool yet cute monsters, and you want a lot of them, then this is just what you need!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1728240/RPG_Maker_MZ__Magic_Spells_Sound_Pack/

With a WHOOOOSH the mighty storm spell blows your enemy away and while your wizard steps back, your cleric comes forth and with a soft jingling sound their healing abilities enfold.

Sound is crucial when it comes to an immersive experience and especially in battles, where we might spend a lot of time, we need matching and varied sounds to keep them engaging and exciting.

The Magic spells sound pack has everything you need for this: Filled with many different types of sounds matching the different magic types it gives you an amazing selection to pick just the perfect noise for each of your spells.

For the start, there are sounds for the general things that are not related to a specific element: healing, casting and negative aura are the themes in here and each comes with so many options that it might even be difficult to tell which one is the best.

If your characters now want to cast something ongoing or cast a spell that takes more than one turn to perform, there are several cast loops available that allow you to illustrate that with sounds. And once you are ready to unleash the elemental powers of your group - no matter whether as buff or attack - there is a selection ready for fire, ice, water, wind, lightning, shadow and arcane! So no matter which branches of magic your heroes have specialized in, with this pack, their spells will have the perfect sounds!
