Hello, drivers!

We are excited to invite you to an open playtest for owners of Circuit Superstars on Steam this weekend, starting today,Thursday July 14th at 10 AM PDT / 7 PM CEST and ending on Monday, July 18th and 10 AM PDT / 7 PM CEST.

[h3]What will we be testing?[/h3]
We are testing the new progression systems of Time Trial Ranks as well as Online Matchmaking Ranks. You'll be testing these systems on the Summer Patch build, which means you will be able to see names above cars, performance optimizations and other changes.

Here is a breakdown:

[h3]New features & Changes[/h3]

• Time Trial Ranks:
  
  • Complete weekly Time Trials to earn points.
    
  • Points contribute towards your Time Trial rank, updated each time Time Trial presets change.
• Matchmaking ranks: Compete against others and climb the ranks!
  
• Names above cars during Gameplay, Replays and Podiums.
  
  • This feature can be toggled by default with right bumper / right shift.
    
• Performance optimization:
  
  • We have made significant performance improvements to our tracks and rendering. Players on lower end machines should experience improved performance.
    
• Graphical improvements to tracks:
  
  • Lighting reworked as part of the optimization process.
    
  • Rennvoort has flowers again.
    
  • Most dirt surfaces now receive tire marks.
    
  • Improvements to water lighting.
    
• Maximum Slipstream distance reduced from 45 to 35.
  
• Maximum Slipstream strength reduced by 15%.
  
• Car collision physics tuned, reduced torque resistance by 17%.
  
• New UI Sound Effects.
  
• Wider camera lens at top speed.
  

[h3]Playtest Notes:[/h3]

• Matchmaking ranks currently do not affect who you match with.
  
• Time Trial presets will be changed twice daily.
  
• Matchmaking ranking is performed at an accelerated rate for the purposes of the test.
  
• Grand Prix and Free Play are disabled.
  

[h3]How to access the test:[/h3]

• Go to Circuit Superstars in your Library on Steam
  
• Right click and select Properties > Betas
  
• Select july-playtest from the dropdown menu
  
• Go back to your library and ensure that you now see:
  
• Circuit Superstars [july-playtest]
  
• You’re good to go!
  

[h3]Known Issues:[/h3]

• The game is not fully localized - some text is only in English.
  
• Crashes may occur when using Replays feature.
  

[h3]Will we see the whole Summer Patch?[/h3]
No, we have removed content and features irrelevant to the playtest. Let’s keep some spice for the next update!

[h3]How should I provide feedback?[/h3]
Please use the appropriate channels on Discord under the category July Playtest. Not on Discord yet? Be sure to join us to discuss the update, give us feedback and chat with other players about what you think!

From May 27th to the 29th you'll get an all-access pass to all game modes and content.
Plus, the game will be discounted during Racing Fest until Monday, May 30th! This gives you lots of time to explore everything our stylized simulator has to offer.

Dive into specially curated online multiplayer races of up to 12 players from around the globe. Create your own tournaments and play online with friends!

Hello, drivers!

We are excited to share that we are part of Sim Fest: Hobby Edition!

Join us on Thursday, March 31st for a livestream with the developers. We will chat about how a background in racing inspired the sim-meets-arcade design of Circuit Superstars. We will also showcase some of the main features of the game and invite community members to join a Custom Lobby to play live.
