New features

New Game Theme: The Snowy Winterland
New Game Map: Winterland
New Full Set Effects for the Tundra Mammoth, Santa Clause and Ice King skins. These effects are automatically turned on when the full set is equipped.
Limited Offers: Holiday Lootbox & the Tundra Mammoth Exclusive Set.
Character: "Kong" (brown monkey) available from the Battle Pass.
Skins: 10 new collectible skins are available from the Battle Pass, Winter Chest & the Limited Purchase option.

These are the changes in patch 0.9.6 of Bombergrounds: Battle Royale.

New features

General changes

• Basic Chest no longer gives duplicate items, but costs 200 Coins.
  
• All characters now have names.
  
• Sudden Death bomb shadows have been made more distinct (larger upon spawning)
  
• You can now see what region your game in when a match is found.
  
• Ads will now show after each game unless the user has bought something in the shop (mobile).
  
• The Summer Chest has been merged into the Premium Chest.
  
• Matchmaking has been further optimized.
  
• Lots of small quality of life & bugfixes.
  

Server changes

• Improvement: Sudden Death now starts later after all the blocks have fallen down.
  
• Improvement: Sudden Death levels now take a little longer before they ramp up in the amount of bombs dropped from the sky.
  

Ahh! It has been a while since we released the last patch. The number for this patch have thus skipped a number all the way up to 0.9.4. 🙂 During this patch our focus was mainly targeted towards adding some well-needed gameplay changes. We have now added the long-wanted feature of Sudden Death, refined how Shields and Bat-hits works… oh and… we upgraded all of the Mega Bombs to level 3 by default!

[h3]New features[/h3]

• New Major Feature: Battle Pass – Season 3 – The Autumn Season!

[h3]Gameplay changes[/h3]

• Improvement: Stun invulnerability – players are immune to stuns for a short duration after being stunned.
  
• Improvement: Shields break from bat hits – shields now break when hit by a bat.
  
• Improvement: Shields now block fully charged bat hits – a fully charged bat hit no longer kills the player if they have a shield.
  
• Improvement: Mega Bombs bonanza! – mega bombs are now always level 3 when picked up.
  
• Bugfix: Players can no longer use max-charged hits at 85% charge-up.
  
• Bugfix: Players could push a bomb one tile further sometimes, without charigng up their hit. This has been resolved.
  
• Bugfix: The kill leader effect now no longer gets stuck on the ground if the kill leader leaves the game.
  
• Bugfix: It is no longer possible to push a bomb into a wall, and then switch sides and bat it from the inside of that wall object.

• Performance: Optimized performance for a better in-game experience, especially relating to sounds in the game.
  
• Visual Effect: Invulnerability darkening effect (after being stunned)
  
• Visual Effect: Shield static effect (when broken)
  
• Improvement: Sound effects volumes have been adjusted to be normalized.
  
• Improvement: Players can no longer press enter while in spectate mode to pull up the chat input.
  
• Improvement: We’ve adjusted the color and width of the Region selector scrollbar.
  
• Improvement: The emoji system now displays emojis in a little better quality. (… don’t tell anyone but… we have a surprise for emoji lovers coming up in the next patch.. psst!)
  
• Improvement: Bombs that are dropped to the map by the server now has “!”-warning signs on them.
  
• Improvement: A small screen shake effect has been added when hitting and when receiving a shield hit from another player.
  
• Bugfix: The walk animation is now playing properly while in bat-charging.
  
• Bugfix: The “Honey Dipper” weapon is now displaying properly and the clipping bug has been resolved.
  
• Bugfix: The Battle Pass item list has been fixed to display all items properly, even after closing or opening the information tab.
  
• Bugfix: Sending a Friend invite now properly informs you what happened after sending the invite.
  
• Bugfix: The “counting”-sound when receiving experience in the Score Screen now works properly.
  
• Bugfix: The “disable chat” in options should now always work properly.

• Bugfix: We’ve resolved a matchmaking bug where a game started but nobody got into the game server.
  
• Bugfix: We’ve resolved several “your connection has been lost” and stability issues in this patch. We hope that the stability of the game will feel smoother going forward!
  
• Improvement: Hateful & bad words should now be properly filtered away in account names & chat.

We’ve just finished the 0.9.2 patch which adds a completely new map (Beach) and a revamp of the old Candy Land map, which has gotten a full visual makeover and also structural improvements overall.
We have put a lot of work into the backend of the game servers, to make the game more stable, less buggy and to be better prepared for upcoming new features.

Patch notes
These are the changes in patch 0.9.2 of Bombergrounds: Battle Royale.

• Shop: The “Welcome Pack” has been added back in. The Welcome Pack will only be available for 48 hours after registration.

Game server changes

• Bugfixes: Some small bugfixes were added for gameplay-related issues.
  
• Major rework: A lot of effort has been put into making the game more stable, so players should experience less bugs.
  
• Matchmaking improvement: Games should start properly and players should have more control over the queue button, leave party and so on. You should no longer have to restart the game when it “hangs” during queues.
  

Client changes

• Bugfix: Queue button issues, such as getting stuck in queue or not getting a game.
  
• Bugfix: “Connection to game server lost” issue we believe had to do with our matchmaking system, which has now been rewritten to alleviate these issues.
  
• Bugfix: Chat spam filter sometimes activated without you having written anything, this should now be resolved.
  
• Feature: Estimated wait time for queues. The server now communicates the estimated time to get a match.

Mythics are items that can never again be attainable. They are only here for one season or for the duration of the event you get it from.Previous skins that will attain Mythic rank: The RoboBunny (skin) and The Red Panda (character)

Balance changes

Experience: Added an XP event that gives you +175 XP when you die in a game.
Experience: Lowered cooldown of gaining Time XP to 8 seconds (down from 12 seconds).
Experience: Added a minimum +150 XP instant bonus when reaching Time XP limit.
