SAMUDRA | Winter Discount!

Hello everyone!

It's been a crazy year for us at the studio & we are just so elated and blessed to have finally been able to release our debut game SAMUDRA in September! We are working on many more things going forward so be sure to stay tuned if you like to see where our next adventure will take us :D

In the meantime, it goes without saying that in this joyful season of giving we are participating in this Winter discount of 20%! SAMUDRA | Patch (V1.2) is now available!

In this week's patch, we addressed some of the issues that had been reported via emails, DMs, and also from our own observations during your streams for the past 3 weeks. Thank you for all the feedback!

Global/menu:
- Improved Chapter Selection with Chapter description
(Accessible after finishing the game 1 time)

Chapter II:
- Fixed missing SFX at POD Boss
- FIxed Shadow caster at puzzle room 1
- Fixed glitch animation by Salaryman during in the pipe room
- Fixed foreground asset layers at the secret helmet grave
- Fixed glitch during Salaryman alert animation

Chapter III:
- Fixed Airflow particle FX error at the POD room
- Fixed stones not breaking glitch
- Fixed gamelan puzzle controller issue

Chapter IV:
- Fixed broken OST during the parasite chase
- Fixed the ghost SFX at the beginning of scenes
- Fixed Parasite chase glitch where the player can get stuck during the 2nd part of the chase
- Fixed dumbo octopus freezing glitch
- Added reaction animation during the ending QTE at the parasite boss

Chapter V:
- Fixed broken OST/ SFX at multiple locations
- Added in missing SFX & volume adjustments at multiple locations
- Fixed final chase sequence QTE spam glitch
- Fixed Layering issue during final chase squence
- Fixed glitch player freezing during death animation
- Fixed glitch during the pipe air flow sequence
- Fixed controller issue at the lift UI

Puffer Rooms:
- Fixed player freezing issue at Puffer room #4

SAMUDRA Digital Artbook now Available!

Hello Surface-Dwellers!

SAMUDRA Digital Artbook is finally out! If you like the world of SAMUDRA and wanted to find out more about the development process or even hints of what stories are to come, look no further!

The book is essentially an artistic journey that Khayalan Arts had passionately chronicled for over 2 years with their debut game SAMUDRA.

The book is told from the perspective of a Salaryman who worked in a deep-sea factory, allowing you to immerse yourself in his thoughts and informative opinions to the polluted world around him.

Containing over 50 Pages of:
- Concept Art & Sketches highlighting Story Characters
- Concept Art & Sketches highlighting Story Locations/ Chapters
- Immersive Backstories

SAMUDRA | Week 1 Patch (V1.1) is now available!

Hello Everyone!

Week one is over and the reports are in! We spent some time tackling the following bugs/ glitches, as well as revising some things to improve the overall experience of the game:

Global:
- Fixed player walking backward glitch (moonwalk)
- Fixed BGM error that appears in the main menu after exiting the game
- Fixed player death animation & camera error during pitfall
- Fixed error & holes in certain foreground artwork

Chapter II:
- Revised trash system in the pipe section to prevent overflow of trash and results in glitching
- Revised design path in the pipe section by adding more light sources to guide the player

Chapter III:
- Disabled error demo message that showed up during one of the levels

Chapter IV:
- Fixed Dumbo Octopus freezing glitch during the pipe animation sequence

Chapter V:
- Fixed player freeze glitch during the puzzle music box at
- Fixed QTE sequence glitches during the final chase sequence
- Fixed player walking backward glitch (moonwalk) after pulling a puzzle box
- Revised missing art of broken machine at the end of the level

Puffer Rooms:
- Fixed a player freeze glitch that appears upon entering Puffer altar room
- Fixed camera zoom issue when performing overheat and moving the player too early in Puffer room
- Fixed player freeze glitch when interacting with switches in Puffer room
- Fixed random spawn point error after exiting Puffer room
- Fixed pufferfish clipping animation in Puffer room #4
- Revised Puffer room ending animation in Puffer room #2 & Puffer room #4
- Revised missing art that disappears after clearing puffer #2

Achievements:
- Fixed error of missing achievements ( previously acquired achievements will be updated automatically by visiting the gallery menu)
