Eagarlnian Archive — The Major Races

Hi all!

As you might already know, the continent of Eagarlnia cosists of multiple races and each of them has their own story. Hopefully you will enjoy the following background information!

Humans (Child: 0-12, Adolescent: 13-17, Adult: 18-55, Elder: 56-120)

Among all the Eagarlnian races, humans are the most short-lived people possessing an average lifespan of roughly 40 years, with the highest life expectancy being 112 years. Unlike the elves and dwarves, they have the agency to follow either the will of Cornett or Asnett, resulting in them having variable characteristics and great ingenuity. Naturally, this makes mankind Eagarlnia's most "unstable" race.

Elvenkind (Child: 0-500, Adolescent: 501-800, Adult: 801-???)

Elves boast the longest lifespans, and no records exist of one ever growing "old" in the physical world. However, their growth is significantly slower than the other races; it takes 500 years for an elven child to reach biological adolescence, and another 300 for adulthood. Upon reaching adulthood however, their physical appearance does not appear to undergo any change regardless of how much time passes, resulting in them maintaining eternal youth. As elvenkind can only follow the will of Cornett, they are gifted with the ability to connect with all living things around them. Their seemingly endless lifespans also gives them an unusually serene disposition. In a way, they serve as the world's dedicated historians and archivists as they pursue and study knowledge of all forms.

The Lanleri: An ancient people known for their shining emerald hair and eyes who reside within the southern region of the Echo Forest. These elves hold a deep connection with nature and live in relative isolation from the rest of the world. They are agile and brave, and their skills in archery could be regarded as the best in the continent of Eagarlnia.

The Irici: An elven race that resides on the western region of the Lasred Plateau, east of the Pillars of the Behemoth from the Divine Mountains. Unlike their forest-dwelling cousins, the Irici have close connections to the other races of Eagarlnia. These elves possess blonde hair and blue eyes, as well as a strong affinity for mana. Due to this, they are true masters of magic, and their floating city serves as a testament to their magical prowess.

Dark Elves (Child: 0-12, Adolescent: 13-25, Adult: 26-650)

All elves are gifted with the ability to connect with all living things, especially those that are pure or primal in nature. However, this changed when the Malevolent Goddess of Resentment, Hypnos, sowed the seeds of hatred within the hearts of a number of elves, where her deep and powerful influence eventually turned them into her own loyal adherents. The followers of Hypnos, later known as the "dark elves," abandoned the light of the surface and instead adopted the darkness of the underworld as their new home. This radical change in environment turned their hair color a silver-white in the likeness of the moon, and their skin darker than ashes. Ultimately, their average lifespans were shortened down to a mere 500 years.

The Samaelites: The dark elves who have embraced the darkness in its entirety, and currently live in the depths of the underworld.

Dwarves (Child: 0-27, Adolescent: 28-60, Adult: 61-280, Elder: 281-400)

As the chosen people of Asnett, dwarves are driven to change and improve anything they can get their hands on in their daily lives. Their limitless creativity allows them to construct not only the world's phenomenal marvels, but many bizarre machines and devices as well. While not to the same extent as the elves, dwarves are also known for their long lifespans, with the longest-living dwarf being recorded at the age of 401.

Ada (Child: 0-11, Adolescent: 12-20, Adult: 21-130, Elder: 131-200)

With humans possessing the agency to choose between Cornett or Asnett, they are able to reproduce with dwarves and elves. Although such relationships between races are relatively rare occurrences, offspring are nonetheless born as a product of their love for one another. Individuals of mixed blood are referred to as "Ada," a general name of those born between humans, elves, and dwarves. Scattered all across the Land of Laud, the Ada possess an average lifespan of roughly 120 years.

The first Ada were originally divided into two groups, as those with dwarven blood were more likely to be influenced by the will of Asnett, while those with elven blood were more likely to be influenced by the will of Cornett instead. But as time passed, more interracial marriages occurred between the Ada, resulting in newer generations inheriting both the dwarven courage and elven wisdom of their predecessors. Ada with blue eyes have a stronger connection to Cornett, while those with red eyes are more attuned with Asnett.

Orcs (Child: 0-6, Adolescent: 7-15, Adult: 16-85, Elder: 86-150)

The average lifespan of an orc is around 110 years, and they believe in Marduk, the Destruction God of Pestilence.

According to legends, the ancestors of the orcs were once light elves, the most powerful of the Eagarlnian races that lived in the high mountain forests. As the world's guardians, they spared no effort in their resistance against the Umbral Realm's invasion, though they were corrupted as a result of their failure. The corruption not only robbed the elves of their precious immortality, but their beautiful appearances and great wisdom as well. Despite this terrible affliction, they continued to stand against the otherworldly invaders, never once yielding even after the world had been delivered to the hands of the Umbral Legion.

After the conclusion of the First Liberation War, the world's denizens finally overthrew the Umbral Legion that had enslaved Eagarlnia to an era of despair for thousands of years. While the humans managed to establish a kingdom for themselves, the corrupted light elves — now known to all as the "orcs" — were condemned, ostracized, and driven out by the other races on the basis of their unsightly appearances. With the world having turned its back on them, their former honor and glory as its guardians — as light elven heroes — became nothing more than a fleeting memory of the past, one that was quickly forgotten for it had no place in their new lives. As a result, the orcs were transformed into a people as cruel and savage as the forsaken lands they were banished to: a necessity for survival in a world as unforgiving as Eagarlnia...

Eagarlnian Archive — The Creation Myth

Hello everyone,

This time we bring two versions of widely spreaded Creation Myth that Eagarlnians often peruse in their home. Which one is your favorite version? Please leave your comments down below!

The Church of Ayla’s Creation Myth

Before light and matter, there was nothing.

That is, until Ayla pushed through the gate and crossed into the nebulous void. However, she was saddened by its desolate nature, and as she laid amongst the chaos, a very long moment passed by. It was then when her flesh and blood began to disintegrate: Ayla's body created Cornett of Order, and her blood Asnett of Chaos. From their birth, the twin gods resonated with their mother’s solemn grief, and so, Order and Chaos created Time. This world of nothingness then began to turn, change, and tear. And thus, a vast universe was born...

...Yet it remained barren. Cornett set foot onto a planet within the very center of the universe, where blazing flames suddenly began to spread over its surface. A dazzling fire lit up the entire universe, resulting in the birth of the Sun, though its extreme temperatures set aflame the neighboring planets as well. Asnett, attracted by this grand radiance, slowly paced around the scorching star as he observed this magnificent view. However, thick ice trailed behind his path, and he unconsciously wrapped the Sun in deep layers of frost, returning the universe back to its dark and cold state.

It takes countless years before the fierce heat of the Sun finally breaks free from its icy prison. Rays of light began to shoot out from within the frozen shell, where its radiance shone upon the surface of a certain frozen blue planet nearby. And all the while, Cornett watched quietly as the events unfolded before him. Light then began to melt the sheets of ice covering this celestial body, leading to the creation of its rivers, mountains, and flora. In the midst of such a barren universe, this planet suddenly appeared to be vivid and beautiful, and like a shining pearl… Eagarlnia was born.

Asnett then set foot upon this wonderful planet and began to run. Sharp stones cut the soles of his feet as he made his strides, splashing them with his divine blood. The earth began to take form, aggregating into short figures known as the first dwarves: the chosen of Asnett. At the same time, Cornett descended and pursued his twin brother. As he reached out in an attempt to stop Asnett, thorny plants pierced the flesh of his palms, coating them with his divine blood. Then, the bloodstained flora bloomed into tall and slender figures known as the first elves: the chosen of Cornett.

After many more years, descendants of the first dwarves began to use their craft and technology to shape the grand contours of the world. Meanwhile, descendants of the first elves created a plethora of fauna, enriching Eagarlnia with the vibrancy of life. As it would turn out, both Cornett and Asnett became very fond of this planet, each believing themselves to be its one and only master. Arguments between the twin gods arose and escalated, resulting in their followers — the dwarves and elves — waging a long and terrible war upon each other: the Iconoclastic War.

Unfortunately, the raging conflict ravaged Eagarlnia, tearing the magnificent planet asunder. Witnessing the devastation inflicted upon their beloved creation, the crestfallen Cornett and Asnett formally brought an end to the long-running feud between them. Together, they mended Eagarlnia's scars with their own bodies, and united their divine blood to create the new chosen people of this world: the first humans, those with the agency to choose between Order and Chaos.

With their duties fulfilled, the twin gods then fell under a deep slumber, where they still remain sleeping to this very day.

The Church of Barto’s Creation Myth

After hundreds of millions of years in deep slumber, a single whisper awakened Metus, the Great Monarch. While these occurrences signaled the birth of a new universe, it ultimately did not arouse his attention. As usual, Metus continued to spread his influence into the universe before falling into yet another eternal sleep. His messenger, Nyarsithep, was then tasked to carry out his will upon this brand new universe, where he then fell into a deep sleep.

Upon his awakening however, Nyarsithep found himself fuming with anger at the sight before him — the origin of the universe was no longer as it once was, for wicked gods had distorted its very appearance. In response to this crisis, the messenger hastily awakened Ghatanothoa and Hypnos, and sent them to eradicate the terrible creations of Cornett and Asnett. Where Ghatanothoa seduced dwarvenkind with their lust for power, Hypnos sowed the seeds of resentment among elvenkind. Together, the ancient gods silently orchestrated what would become known as the Iconoclastic War.

Nyarsithep observed the turmoil of the world with utmost glee, until Cornett and Asnett put an end to the great conflict. In doing so, the wicked gods deprived Ghatanothoa and Hypnos of their divine powers, placing them in a state of deep sleep. Fearing such power, Nyarsithep hid deep within the great expanse of the universe, silently waiting... watching...

For one day, Metus shall know of everything himself.

Hero Spotlight-the Eslotian Empire

Today, we will be covering the lore of significant heroes in the Heroic Legend of Eagarlnia, whose charming characters compose a symphony of sword and magic in the world they reside in. Due to the overwhelming number of heroes in the game, we will only choose a few major characters to cover. If you want to know the backstory of somebody or faction next time, please leave a comment below~

Eslotian Empire

The Eslotian Empire was founded by Knight King Belial Abhoth, the same king who overthrew the corrupt Atlas bloodline, saved the world from disaster by the Umbral Legion, and achieved victory during the Second Liberation War. Since Belial was a devout follower of the goddess Ella, Ellaism had been made the state religion since the establishment of his new Empire. During his reign, the king advocated for freedom, resulting in the freedom of all the slaves in his territory. At the same time, he divided the entire Land of Laud into 23 distinct territories, where his sons and the Thirteen Knights who followed him became its new lords. With an advanced political system and the support of wise ministers, the empire flourished under Belial’s rule, who would later be acknowledged as Holy King of the Empire.

Lenna Abhoth
Age: 24
Faction: Reclamation Army
Command: Soldier and Spearman Troops

While Lenna is recognized for her stellar performance as the heir apparent of the Eslotian Empire, she's not in the least ladylike. Expressing no interest in neither the fine nor performing arts — let alone literature — she instead became quite proficient with bladed weapons and firearms, and even sought to join the Order of the Assur Knights. She was officially inducted into their holy order during her coming-of-age ceremony at the age of 18. For as long as she could remember, King Harrison always worried about the state of his empire. This motivated her to do everything she could in order to become stronger, and thus, share his burden of the crown. Following the Empire's collapse, Lenna resolved to uphold her late father's responsibilities and realize his ideal vision of what the country should be. By eliminating the root of the Empire's corruption, she seeks to bring an end to all wars and return peace and prosperity to the people.

Falerens, home to the Order of the Assur Knights, was originally the holy city of the Eslotian Empire and the main headquarters of the Church of Ayla. Upon hearing of Percival's fall, heir apparent Princess Lenna Abhoth swiftly rallied the troops of the Eslotian Empire to gather within the city of Falerens, where she had been serving as a knight. Loyalists such as Theodore Royce, the Cardinal Mastermind, and Revati Bernt, the Grand Marshal of the Empire, were the few among many that responded to the call to arms, thereby establishing the Reclamation Army. Given her outstanding abilities, simple living habits, and integrous character, many similarities were drawn between the crown princess and the esteemed "Holy King'' Belial, enabling her to earn the overwhelming support of the Eslotian people. With great conviction, they believe that only Lenna can bring an end to the war and deliver peace and prosperity back to the nation.

Currently, the Reclamation Army not only needs to defend themselves against the invading armies of Nubidia, but to also be wary of a surprise attack from the Imperial Guard, a new faction assembled by none other than Lenna's own unscrupulous brother Prince Eno, that lie in wait within the city of Mecaslin. They must tread carefully in this precarious situation if they wish to restore peace and reclaim the fractured territories of the Eslotian Empire.

Eno Abhoth
Age: 20
Faction: Royal Guard
Command: Spearman Troops

Much like his older sister Lenna, Prince Eno took an interest in the arts of weaponry and firearms in his youth. However, the difference between them was worlds apart, for the young prince could not match his sister's natural talents and skill in combat. Eno's personal competitions with Lenna always ended miserably on his end, painting him as ungifted and ultimately unworthy to succeed the throne. Unfortunately, his unwillingness to submit and be outdone by his sister would foster a deep and bitter jealousy for her later in his life. As an adult, contentions between the two would rise by the day, further deteriorating their already-fragile familial relationship.

Prior to the Nubidian invasion, Prince Eno Abhoth and a number of noble politicians quietly evacuated from the royal capital city of Percival. Under the protection of the Imperial Guard led by General Schilder Craft, the assembled nobility strategically took refuge in the nearby city of Mecaslin. However, it was not loyalty to the prince that brought them here, but a common interest in exploiting one another for their own personal gain.

Fueled by their own ulterior motives, the corrupt nobility unanimously elected Eno to inherit the now-empty Eslotian throne. Fortunately, the prince cleverly took advantage of their intentions and swore his legitimacy to the throne and oath as future king. Thus, the Imperial Guard established itself as the "true" Imperial Army, with Mecaslin serving as its central base of operations in addition to Veridis Castle. With the backing of the reformed Imperial Guard, Eno formally denounced his older sister's formation of the Reclamation Army as an act of rebellion against the Eslotian Empire. In the eyes of the common people however, it is the prince and his entourage that are the true usurpers of the kingdom. But nonetheless, in a turbulent world where the victor becomes king, anything can change...

Anecia Abhoth
Age:14
Faction: Recovery Army
Command: Mage Troops

Unlike her elder siblings, Anecia is a courteous and graceful individual, and has been a quiet girl ever since she was young. She doesn't desire power, but instead dreams of becoming a mage much like her esteemed mentor, Theodore Royce. With a voice as gentle as the breeze, she possesses an exquisite appearance in the likeness of starlight as well as fair and delicate skin that can be compared to milk. Early in her childhood, Anecia became a follower of Sin, the Dark God of the Moon. By the age of 10, she had been able to resonate with the deity and was capable of using its power to shroud herself from mortal sight. Although the relationship between Eno and Lenna continues to deteriorate, they still deeply love and care about their youngest sister.

Theodore Royce

Age:46
Faction: Recovery Army
Command: Mage Troops

Theodore, a high-ranking archmage of the Mage Guild, is a perfectionist by nature who always enjoys doing things in an unconventional manner. He's also very generous, helping the poor and those in need, as well as delivering justice to those who deserve it. Despite hailing from a wealthy family, Theodore led a thrifty and seclusive lifestyle while often traveling alone. Early on, he enjoyed a peaceful life with his assistant Peter Bruno at a coastal town located in Doz, where their three-story residence overlooked the Glass Sea. He was deeply esteemed by the local residents, who often consulted him for advice regarding law, agriculture, and even the education of their children. As a wandering adventurer, Theodore met Prince Harrison and the knight Revati Bernt, and the three eventually grew to become true friends to one another. Harrison in particular believed there was more to him than what met the eye, and was not in the least disappointed to discover that great aspirations correlating to his own lay underneath the mage's indolent appearance. After Harrison ascended to the throne, Theodore served as a court mage for the new king and acquired membership to The Silver Key. He was eventually promoted to Court Archmage of the Eslotian Empire, a position he continues to hold to this day.

And with that, the introduction of characters hailing from the Eslotian Empire comes to the end… for now. As such, we would like to conduct a little survey regarding the background of Eagarlnia, so please feel free to tell us which content is the most intriguing to you:
