Christmas came early this year! Grab a nice cup of cocoa and your favorite blanket, and jump right into the winter wonderland of Providence Oaks today!

In Season’s Greetings, a prequel DLC to Lake, you’ll be transported back to beautiful Providence Oaks during the snowy waning days of 1985. Step into the shoes of Thomas Weiss, almost-retired postal worker and father to Lake’s protagonist Meredith. Delivering the mail is only half the story, as Thomas meets and helps out both old friends and new arrivals. How happy will their holidays be? Can everyone in Providence Oaks end 1985 with a bang? Once again, it’s up to you.

To celebrate the launch of Season's Greetings, Lake will have a 60% discount (starting Wednesday, November 15 at 10 AM PST, ending Tuesday, November 21 at 10 AM PST).

PS: This might get snowed under a bit (badum-tish!), but we have added Steam Cloud Saves to Lake. This allows you to synchronize your saves to another device.

The option should be enabled by default, and can be manually disabled via Properties > General. If you do not have this option, please check that cloud saving is enabled via Steam Settings.

We're super happy to announce 'Season's Greetings', in which we return to our cozy little laketown Providence Oaks!

You might wonder how Lake's story could continue with all the different endings it offered. Well, we were wondering the same, and that's why Season's Greetings is not a sequel, but a prequel!

It's December 23, 1985, eight months before Meredith returns to Providence Oaks. You take on the role of her father, Thomas, and will be delivering the mail like he's been doing for years. We don't want to spoil too much, but what we can say is:

• It's the final days of the year, so expect Holiday Season happenings!
  
• P.O. will be covered in a blanket of snow, and cheered up with lots of Christmas lighting.
  
• Meet new characters, but you'll of course also see lots of familiar faces.
  
• Nancy will be complaining.
  
• Frank might be betting on sports.
  
• Mildred could need your help.
  
• Maureen will definitely yell to the kitchen.
  
• And Jack's playlist will also have Christmas tunes! But it might still be a bit short. ;)

This is a small patch that includes a few minor changes. After this update we will nog longer support Windows 8, as Microsoft has also ended support for it on January 10, 2023

Changes:

• Credits update. Added missing entries and fixed scrolling issue.
  
• Crash in main menu fixed. This was an issue that happened on most Windows 8 and 8.1 devices. A few clever users have solved this on their own by removing or renaming the file. We have now implemented a fix for this so you no longer have to tinker with the files to get the game running.
  
• Windows 8 no longer supported. The game will still be playable on Windows 8, but we will no longer offer support for Windows 8 specific issues.
  
• Fixed a localisation issue where English text would be displayed when another language is selected.
  
• We're still looking for a solution to the pesky audio bug.
