NEWS - Summer Roadmap



Hello Pretenders!

It’s been a blast to read all of your impressions about the newest additions to Curse of the Dead Gods and watch your explorations in videos and streams. The team is super happy to see that you enjoyed the Serpent Temple!

We’ve thoroughly noted all of your feedback and bug reports about our latest update, and we’re currently working on improving some of the stuff reported. It wouldn’t be possible without your support on our Steam forums, subreddit and Discord server! By the way, we are going to open a suggestion box on our Discord to get some more specific feedback about the Final Boss of the Serpent Temple.

Let us remind you that Curse of the Dead Gods is currently 20% off until July 9th! If you’ve been hesitant about jumping into the Temple, now is the perfect time!

New content is coming, here is our roadmap from July to September! You may notice that we are going to slow the rhythm of updates this summer to focus on more big and significant changes in the game. We’ll always keep you posted on Steam, don’t worry!



To explain it all, we’re going to add a few more things to the Serpent Temple before jumping on a completely new theme!

First, regarding the Jaguar Temple’s Champions, we’ll add two new Cursed Weapons that will be dropped under special unlocking conditions during the Witch and Abomination fights. This update is coming very soon - get a sneak peek at the new weapons in action right now:



We’ve also taken the time to completely reskin and give shiny new icons to all the pistols that needed them. Check them out:



Then, in the same way as we did with the Jaguar Temple, we’re adding additional room variations to the Serpent Catacombs: new layouts, as well as traps and chests placed differently. The goal is that this will further improve replayability and unpredictability in the Serpent Temple. This update will also include new Curses specific to the Serpent Catacombs, bringing various new modifiers and challenges. Plenty of more trouble in the Serpent Temple! 🐍

Now, you may wonder what we’re planning for the new Currencies, Masters Modes and Weekly Runs. We’ll unveil it all in due time, but just know that some cool new challenges are on the way!
