HOTFIX 0.20.0.3 - Path of Trials fixes



Hello, Pretenders,

Some bugs made their way into our PATH OF TRIALS update. Hotfix incoming!

Fixed in this patch:
  • Fixed a crash that occurred in between rooms
  • Fixed a bug related to saves on new games (if you launched one on an older version)
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the 'Grace of the Tempest' Blessing from working properly
  • Fixed a bug that blocked the door of the Blood hunter once defeated

⚠️ NOTE: Your current run will be deleted if you haven't played on the 0.20.02 version yet (update from Thursday 09/10). Don’t worry! Your save will stay intact (Unlocked explorations, Unlocked Blessings, Crystal Skulls count…), but if you had a run in progress, you won’t be able to finish it.

  • 🍉 New tutorials: A new game zone at the start of the adventure will let players discover Curse of the Dead Gods’ core game mechanics and practice with the combat and defense system
  • Tips: Tips are shown during loading screens
  • 🍉 Gear recycling: Weapons and relics found in the Temple can be recycled for healing, stats, corruption reduction, and other bonuses
  • 🍉 New room type: Weapon upgrade shrines. It is now possible to level up your gear at Weapon upgrade shrines

[h3]Visual changes[/h3]
  • The 5th Curse: The 5th Curse icon and Health bar haven been replaced to emphasise its danger
  • Damage in Darkness: We added a red flash when the character is hit in Darkness to better signify the increased damage suffered.

[h3]Fixed bugs & QoL[/h3]
  • 🍉 Disconnecting pads crash: Fixed a crash that would happen when disconnecting pads while playing
  • 🍉 Shadow Word x Torch of Sorrow: Enemies invisible because of the “Shadow Word” curse can now be revealed with the modified torch of the “Torch of Sorrow” curse
  • 🍉 Sincere offerings: Fixed a bug that would prevent players from clicking the Blood offering button with a mouse
  • Mad Temple: Fixed a bug that did not increase the damage of the Mushroom traps in the game mode "Mad Temple" in the Serpent Temple
  • Darkest Explorer: Fixed a bug that did not increase the damage inflicted to the player in the light in the game mode "Darkest Explorer".

[h3]Known bugs[/h3]
  • Character can go OOB when being so fast that the game can’t cope with him
  • PS4 pads: If your PS4 pads disconnect during a run, it will be impossible to reconnect it (Tip: Use your keyboard/mouse to go at the beginning of a room and save your progression)
  • First run: If you've launched a new game and started your first run on an old version, but didn't finish it (Victory/Death), you'll have to delete your save and start a new one

[h2]• NEW TUTORIALS[/h2]Practice in a dedicated tutorial zone with extended explanations of all the game’s mechanics. Previous tutorials were not as effective as we wanted, as players could miss out on important information about the core gameplay of Curse of the Dead Gods. We’re getting the game ready for its final release so a good tutorial is always handy!



[h2]• GEAR RECYCLING
[/h2]
Recycle your loot to gain some minor bonuses during your explorations. This highly requested feature is likely to become one of your favorites!



[h2]• NEW ROOM TYPE[/h2]Make offerings at the new Weapon Upgrade shrines to level-up your gear and obtain more powerful effects for them. We know some players love their Weapons very much and don’t want to leave them behind. This new feature will allow you to keep your gear throughout the Temple!

HOTFIX 0.19.3 - Low FPS & Daily events fixes!



Hello, Pretenders!

Today, we’re releasing a hotfix that resolves some issues reported by players last week. Have a look at the bugs and problems fixed in this patch:
  • Low FPS
  • Daily events not showing up each day
  • Unexpected crash with fire projectiles

Once again, we want to thank the Curse of the Dead Gods’ community for reporting these issues and helping us resolve them. Remember that you can always report bugs on Steam forums or on our Discord server.

Your saves from the Experimental branch will automatically transfer to the Main branch. If you backed up your saves to test the Experimental branch, you can put them back in the appropriate folder (Steam-steamapps-common-Lost Temple-TempleResources-_Saves)

NEWS - Updated Roadmap & FPS issues fixed



Hello, Pretenders!

We hope you’re enjoying the latest patch! We’re aware that some of you are experiencing low FPS and Daily Challenges issues, and we’re working on fixing these problems this week. That’s why we’re launching an experimental branch for those wanting to see if your problem has been resolved by our little tweaks.

Fixed bugs/issues on the experimental branch:
  • Low FPS
  • Unexpected crash with fire projectiles


HOW TO HOP ON THE EXPERIMENTAL BRANCH:
→ Right-click on the game
→ Choose "Properties"
→ Choose "BETAS" tab
→ Enter this password: wehatelowfps
→ Select "specia_public_test - /!\ Special/Experiment fixes"
→ Close and launch the game.

If your game is working fine, no need to jump on this branch as it’s only a temporary fix until we’re able to fully release a hotfix early next week.

We want to thank all the players that have been helpful in resolving these issues, either by providing videos or analysis of bugs and crashes, or data of their personal computer configs. Let us know if our fix is working for you!
