Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery News

Dear agents,
As planned in the previous preview, "Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery" will participate in the Steam Next Fest this June, opening up more access to our demo in response to everyone's expectations and enthusiasm.



Unlike previous trials which are limited, this is a free public online trial, and it will be open for download at 8am on June 19 (next Monday)! The trial will last for a week, and we look forward to more agents joining Code Name Bakery.

To those who are not familiar with Steam Next Fest: Steam Next Fest is a showcase for unreleased games during which you can experience trials, watch live streams and talk to dev teams. We believe that this is an opportunity to let more people know about "reverse collapse" and get extensive feedback.

About this Demo

In addition to all 7 campaigns in the first chapter included in the closed test, the demo also includes the first 4 campaigns of the second chapter. Be noted that the full version of the special campaign in the G-Fusion Game Fest will also be included in this demo. There will be three difficulties: Casual, Standard and Challenge for players to choose and challenge. We believe that whether it is the old agents who have participated in the previous trial or new agents, you can all experience different content in this Next Fest demo.

A: This demo will be open from June 19th to June 26th, lasting a week.

Last month, we marked the 10th anniversary of the original Bakery Girl and ran an exclusive test for Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery. We were absolutely blown away by the support from agents around the world and collected a great deal of feedback and suggestions, which has been tremendously helpful in guiding us make adjustments and optimization.

For those who weren’t selected in the last test, we have some exciting news: Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery will be taking part in the upcoming Steam Next Fest this June with a public demo!



Since the initial debut, Reverse Collapse has come a long way. What started out as a simple remake turned into a much more expansive narrative experience as development progressed, which inevitably led to massive overhauls of the level design. We're continuously learning and iterating new ideas, and we are incredibly grateful for your support throughout this process.

We’ve recently been able to finalize the overwhelmingly lengthy script, and the team is now shifting gear towards getting everything ready for release, such as QA testing and some finishing touches. It’s our priority to deliver Reverse Collapse in its best quality at release.

Q: What exciting content can I expect to experience in this test?

A: Get ready to dive into the action-packed first scene of the game, featuring seven small chapters of thrilling gameplay. The story of the bread factory will officially begin! And to cater to different player preferences, we offer three difficulty modes to choose from: leisure, standard, and challenge.

Q: How can I join this test?

A: This test is available through limited recruitment, so make sure to fill out the recruitment questionnaire in this post to apply. We'll randomly select 1000 players to participate, so don't be discouraged if you don't get in. Keep an eye on our Steam wishlist for future updates, as we'll be expanding the test in the future.

Q: How will I know if I'm selected for the test?

A: If you're selected for the test, you'll receive an email containing your test activation code and branch password before 4:00 PM on the day of the test. Make sure to enter your information accurately and keep it safe! Since qualifications are distributed manually, there may be some delays. We'll keep you informed of the specific distribution progress in the discord

A New Character Makes Her Debut!
As the keen-eyed agents among you have no doubt noticed, a new face has made her debut in this most recent trailer. Say hello to Sugar, our heroic and sassy lieutenant from the Special Forces division. Suger will play a pivotal role in Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery.


What is it about Suger that is so enchanting? Could it be her fangs? Or perhaps her mechanical scorpion tail? Don't be fooled by her sweet name and even sweeter appearance. Suger is living proof that "the most alluring ones are the most vicious." If you aren't convinced, perhaps her dual-wielded guns will persuade you otherwise.


Remastered with Innovative Gameplay
In addition to enriching our characters' stories and expanding the world within which they take place, we have also spent a great deal of effort to improve in-game systems and bring our visuals to a whole new level of quality.

-Event Divergence-
The original version of Code Name: Bakery Girl only included 12 linear levels. In Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, the remastered version, we have implemented a network of event divergences and a "Backtrack" system. As a result, the number of levels has increased greatly and battles have become far more complex.

-Backtrack" system-
After experiencing a preview of the storyline, many of our agents suspected that, of the Three Goddesses, Jefuty had the power to "travel back in time." Now, the truth has been revealed.
Although Jefuty cannot truly return to the past, she has the ability to recall and challenge her fate once more. With the addition of the new "Backtrack" system, agents will need to guide Jefuty through levels and use her special abilities to make the best choices possible. Searching for clues and intel during combat is the key to survival and to finding the various ways in which fate takes shape.


-All New Special Combat-
In addition to conventional gameplay in battles, we have created new levels focused on special combat techniques, for example: use field mechanics to defeat enemies in "terrain warfare." ; "Incite" conflict and cause enemies to attack each other; or become the stealthiest agent in battle and wear down your enemies, etc.


-More Enchanting Lore-
We want agents to feel as immersed in the world of Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery and as attached to its characters as possible. In addition to remastered content, exquisite animations and enthralling stories bring the thrills of battle to new heights. Combat has never been this tense, and our Tactical Dolls have never been this fierce!

Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery is a remaster of Code Name: Bakery Girl, our first game and the foundation of the Girls' Frontline series. We are honored to have the opportunity to improve upon the magic we created and to be able to share it with you.

While the work required to redesign levels and restructure the plot has exceeded our original expectations, we will continue to polish the game until we are satisfied with the end result. We want the characters of Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery to feel as alive and complex as possible. We cannot understate how excited we are to welcome our agents back again.
