Update 1.5.0 Progress: Screenshots of Module Exteriors
Screenshots:
Here are some new screenshots showcasing the exteriors of a new set of space station modules that will be part of the 1.5.0 update:

These modules are designed to be very customizable, allowing a variety of layouts and sizes. The station pictured above is what a typical station will look like with these modules.
How much longer until the 1.5.0 update?
That continues to be a difficult question to answer but it is becoming clearer. There is one more batch of assets that needs to be finished that will include the interiors of the space station modules pictured above. To complete them will probably take as long as it took to complete the exteriors. So probably a month or two.

Once this is finished, all the new assets will need to be integrated into the existing game systems. This will probably take another month or two. Finally everything will need to be playtested. The playtesting is going to be the real wildcard.

That is why the 1.5.0 update will most likely be released as an experimental build initially.
Players will be able to opt into it in the steam launcher. Many things will need to be tested and playtesters can help a lot to reduce the amount of time this will take

This process could take a month or it could take several. It will depend on how many problems there are and how quickly they are discovered/reported/fixed.

As usual, informational posts such as these will continue.

Update 1.5.0 News, Progress and More Module Screenshots

As some people may have noticed, the development version of the game has been using UE5 for a while now.

It is a significant visual upgrade that has been a very important part of development over the past few months and it will allow the game to benefit from newer engine technology into the foreseeable future.

Here are some more screenshots showcasing multiple modules that will be part of the 1.5.0 update:

These modules will eventually be used with the procedural generation system to create different space stations and moon bases.

There are many more modules in the pipeline that are almost finished, however, it is clear that it will take some time to get them all into the game and integrated.

It is looking like the update could be ready by this summer (2022) however that is subject to change depending on how things go.

Update 1.5.0 Progress and Hub Module Screenshots

Here are some screenshots showcasing a new module that will be part of the upcoming 1.5.0 update:

It is a Hub module which will serve as a connecting point between up to 6 other modules. It has been designed in such a way as to allow various configurations.

In addition to this module, there is a lot of other content that is almost finished, however, it will take some time to get it all in the game.

Unfortunately, it is not possible at this point in time to say exactly how long this will take. It will be clearer in a month or so.
