Today, together with developer Grimbart Tales we are happy to announce a spring 2022 launch window for our ITORAH, a dazzling action-platformer featuring beautiful hand-drawn environments and themes heavily inspired by Mesoamerican culture and legends.

In ITORAH, a curtain of evil in the form of a plague looms over the beautiful and once-thriving Nahucan. Alone, and seemingly the last human on Earth, the titular Itorah and her mouthy companion, a sentient battle-axe, are tasked with navigating the treacherous lands and defeating deadly foes to liberate Nahucan and its inhabitants.
Today, Grimbart Tales brings us a new video, showing adventurers what lies in wait in ITORAH.

In the spirit of “easy to learn, difficult to master”, ITORAH captures the balance between platforming combat, puzzles, and impressive visual storytelling.
A true labor of love, the studio has thoughtfully captured the best elements of the 8-and 16-bit platforming days, blending them with gorgeous hand-painted assets and quality character animations. Explore a variety of diverse biomes, battle enemies ranging from pint-sized to leviathan, and solve the mystery of humanity’s disappearance in this strikingly beautiful and heartfelt adventure.

To celebrate the Steam Next Festival, we will release an exciting new playable demo for Itorah. The demo will showcase brand new, never before seen content, so be sure to be one of the first players to try it out.

Itorah is a charming Indie 2.5D action-platformer featuring a streamlined Metroidvania experience, with a stunningly beautiful visual style, crisp controls, a mature story and epic world building.




The demo will go live at 7pm CET/10am PST/1pm EST October 1st, 2021.
It will end 7pm CET/10am PST/1pm EST October 7th, 2021.


Itorah is scheduled to release on Steam in late 2021.

Today, we are happy to announce our presence at Gamescom 2021, the world’s largest video game industry expo.
Besides many great new titles from the Assemble portfolio, ITORAH will be present!

As an official partner of Gamescom, we will present our current portfolio of indie titles, including two world premiere unveilings.

The entire Assemble Entertainment line-up will be available in the Gamescom Now content hub and two popular titles will participate in the Indie Arena Booth 2021.

More details will be revealed on August 25, 2021, including all official Gamescom streams, events, and panels that we will participate in.

Together with developer Grimbart Tales, we have announced our genre-blending action-adventure title ITORAH is coming to Windows PC via Steam later this year.

In ITORAH, the lush and verdant land of Nahucan is under threat from a deadly and mysterious plague! It’s up to the titular ITORAH — who appears to be the last human left — to battle her way across multiple gorgeous biomes, combatting deadly foes and the even deadlier landscape, to stop the threat and save the land of Nahucan.



ITORAH harkens back to the Nintendo Game Boy titles that inspired the team at Grimbart Tales. A loveable and scrappy cast of characters, a looming evil that threatens a colorful fantasy land, and of course, progressively more difficult platforming elements are but a few of the genre hallmarks awaiting players when the game drops later in 2021.
As ITORAH journeys through the world of Nahucan, she’ll meet a colorful cast of quirky characters, including her chatty and loud-mouthed weapon, which also serves as a guide, to help her understand the events of the past.
She’ll need all the help she can get in order to make her way through the winding paths of Nahucan on her quest to save the land and battle the malignant contagion that threatens it!

• Hand-Crafted Quality: Explore a beautifully realized world inspired by South and Central American landscapes, each lovingly hand-painted by the development team to breathe life into the world of Nahucan.

Get to the bottom of the mystery with plenty of exciting twists and turns along the way as the brave young warrior battles her way through lush forests, ancient temples, and more on her quest to save Nahucan!

Grimbart Tales received significant recognition and won 3rd place for ITORAH — the studio’s debut title — in the Indie Award category during Devcom 2020, the official game developer conference of Gamescom.
