Hotfix Update v1.0.2

Hello, Knights!

We're close to wrapping up everything for our 1.1 update but we wanted to get some of these fixes out before then, so we've prepared the following hotfix patch. Please see below for everything that's included.

Note: items marked with πŸ”₯ are a result of player feedback

[h3]Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the player to get stuck behind the door when reviving in the True Praxis boss room πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a few bugs that were preventing clients from entering the tear to the Architect's Realm when the host is dead πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was causing Arbiters to spawn Grimlins out of bounds occasionally getting stuck and softlocking the player πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was causing Praxis to escape the boss room via his Killer Grasp attack
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the Champion Gar-Ghoul to occasionally travel and get stuck out of bounds πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a few bugs that were preventing players from rejoining games via Steam invite πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a multiplayer issue where disconnected players could prevent the viewing of other players' inventories πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a visual desync issue that was causing clients to see more health than they have when a miniboss or boss is killed and they have the Earned Vitality Ember Tree upgrade active πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a few visual issues with the Rotworm's spawn animation when spawned from the Champion Rotworm
  • Fixed a few visual issues with miniboss and boss health bars

Hotfix Update v1.0.1

Hello all,

With every update, there's bound to be a few issues. Thanks to our amazing community, we've identified and fixed a bunch of bugs as well as make a few minor balancing adjustments. Please see below!

Reaper's Toll Adjustments πŸ”₯
  • Updated the hitbox for 1st and 2nd attacks to cover a small gap near the player
  • Adjusted the timing of the attack sequence to be slightly more forgiving
Updated the revive label for dead players while in Netherra

Updated the Discord Rich Presence to handle new Discord names

  • Fixed a bug in local multiplayer where players couldn't exit the boss room in Anville πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug in local multiplayer where players couldn't exit the start room in the Architect realm πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was showing dead players when traveling through the tear to the Architect realm πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug in local multiplayer where newly unlocked weapons couldn't be equipped by players 2-4 πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a desync issue with displaying the available ammo on Reaper's Toll
  • Fixed an issue with Reaper's Toll where pulling enemies at the end of their teleportation would cause the game to loop through and instantly clear rooms πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Steam achievements from being unlocked if their associated challenges were completed in the first hour after launch πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was causing players to get stuck between doors when traveling to and from the secret rooms πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a few bugs that were preventing players from reviving in Netherra
  • Fixed a bug where players who closed the game and then reconnected couldn't see the button tip for manually reviving
  • Fixed a bug with Cyclone that was causing instances of it getting stuck on walls immediately after casting when next to a wall πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing the teleportation of dead players causing various issues πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a few visual issues related to displaying status effects when stacking multiple status effects of the same type
  • Fixed an encoding issue with the main menu background that was causing black screens πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a few visual issues related to the tilemap in some rooms

[h3]Wightsbury Enemy Adjustments[/h3]
  • The Forlorn - reduced HP
  • Condemned - slightly reduced HP. Removed the increased damage multiplier when they're stuck in the ground. Added the dagger throw attack to the elite version
  • Weald Wolf - reduced HP

[h3]Anville Enemy Adjustments[/h3]
  • Overlord Mack - increased movement speed. Increased attack rate in all phases
  • Welder - large increase to HP. Re-enabled direction changing during its attack
  • Cleaver - increase to HP
  • Defense Bot - slight increase to HP
  • Hypercharger - large increase to HP. Adjusted the attack indicators
  • Shocker - large increase to HP. Slight reduction to the bolt damage delay
  • Cleaver - reduction to the scissor attack hold time

[h3]Freeze Status Effect πŸ”₯[/h3]
  • Added max duration of multiple freezes to 5s
  • Added frozen enemies receive increased damage
  • Reduced the frozen duration when damaging a frozen enemy
  • Reduced the frozen movement slow for bosses from 20% to 10%
  • Reduced the frozen attack rate slow for bosses from 15% to 10%

[h3]Healing[/h3]
  • Removed the white flash from the Healing Rooms
  • Reduced the overall healing in Wightsbury
  • Adjusted the visuals on the small healing prop in Wightsbury
  • Replaced the three apples in the room before the Anville boss with chicken

[h3]Knight's Charge Adjustments[/h3]
  • Increased the refresh count from 10 to 12
  • Reduced charges from 2 to 1
  • Adjusted the damage from 5/10/15 to 10/12/15

[h3]Relic Adjustments[/h3]
  • Storm Ward - Added a % chance to trigger stun πŸ”₯
  • Stun Powder - Reduced bonus stun to 50% πŸ”₯
  • Infernal Scale - Increased bonus damage. Removed damage bonus to Ember Fire
  • Ignition Break - Increased duration. Faster tick rate
  • Glacier Necklace - Added projectile that can hit a maximum of two enemies πŸ”₯

Increased the minimum charge time on the Rift Hammer πŸ”₯

Slightly reduced the values for Ember Tree upgrades related to boss and non boss damage

Increased the number of Praxis buffed enemy encounters

Increased the occurrence of miniboss variants

Removed the flinch behavior from the Rakknid

Adjusted the room weighting for Scoggfirth

Adjusted the position of ammo under the player

Added a frozen palette to the training dummy in the Nexus

Various cutscene polish including speeding up of sequences

Added SFX to Marvin's introduction cutscene

Animated the main menu

Updated the credits


Bugs


And lastly, we addressed the following:
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing players from having independent mod UI layouts while playing in local multiplayer πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with the Ember Tree where trying to respec while in the β€œSwap” menu would prevent making any other changes πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing supercharged enemies in Anville from dealing additional damage
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing Praxis buffed enemies from being able to destroy props
  • Fixed a bug where the buffed enemies from Praxis weren’t getting the reduced freeze duration
  • Fixed a visual bug with the Praxis gem beam VFX not tracking buffed enemies while frozen πŸ”₯
  • Fixed some collision issues with Scoggfirth's minibosses
  • Fixed a bug with freezing Rotworm while burrowing that caused it to become invisible until unfrozen πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was allowing players to destroy Lord Bruma's ice pillars with Blast Bomb
  • Fixed a visual bug with the Vanguard Champion’s intro
  • Fixed some visual issues with Mischief’s status effects
  • Fixed a visual bug with Defense Bot's projectile size
  • Fixed a bug that was disposing of the mimic pet when spawning a new pet πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing Withercore from extending the duration of poison
  • Fixed a bug with disconnecting a controller in singleplayer that was preventing players from continuing without plugging the controller back in πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a visual bug with entering the tear while the inventory or pause screens were open πŸ”₯
  • Fixed some minor visual issues with the Guardian Bow's arrows
  • Fixed some minor visual issues with displaying status effect labels
  • Fixed a camera snapping bug during the Wightsbury intro
  • Fixed a bug that was displaying a black box on the world intro sequences
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing the SFX from playing when a skill is recharged
  • Fixed various translation issues for all languages

V0.12 had a few issues that we wanted to address before our full launch, so we've put together a small patch, which is available now. Included with 0.12.1 is the following:
