ENCODYA - Release Date and new Gameplay-Trailer revealed!

Together with developer Chaosmonger Studio we are delighted to share today a new trailer and an official release date for the upcoming dystopian point-and-click adventure game ENCODYA.

On January 26, 2021, ENCODYA will make its debut on Windows PC, Mac, and Linux here on Steam.
Following a nine-year-old orphan and her clumsy robot guardian and set in the year 2062, ENCODYA is a dark yet heartwarming tale of love, perseverance, and greed.

ENCODYA puts you in the role of Tina, an orphan with nothing to call her own. Her guardian, a large and lumbering robot named SAM-53, is her only safety and protection from a grim world full of greed and brutal poverty. Controlled by tyrannical corporations, Tina and SAM-53 must make the best of their circumstances in order to set out on an adventure to turn their cyberpunk dystopia into a lively utopia once more. Without knowing what danger lurks behind the next corner, Tina will rely on her wit and SAM-53’s metal muscle to leave a life of homelessness and scavenging behind her.

This is ENCODYA, and this is me.

The sweetness and creativity of Studio Ghibli, the setting and atmosphere of Blade Runner and the humor and game style of Monkey Island: these are the ingredients that inspired ENCODYA, a point & click adventure game set in a dystopian future.

Always swapping the two protagonists - a young girl and her big robot - to solve puzzles, ENCODYA achieves the goal of getting a genre like cyberpunk - usually dark and sad - accessible to people of all ages, also putting the humoristic element, that is not so common in the genre.

I am Nicola, the lead developer, and originally coming from the film industry. Therefore ENCODYA gets many benefits from this background: great visuals, immersive music and, most of all, a very strong story-line, to make us think about our world and what future could bring us.

The team behind it comes from all over the world: passionate talents working in remote from India to Spain, from Italy to the US, from Estonia to Australia, just to mention few countries involved. Everything is done in an "indie" way, trying to achieve a final result as close as possible to the big budget productions.

Now, it's time to get your hands on the demo and dive into the dystopian world of ENCODYA. I hope you like it as much as I do developing it.

And don't forget to wishlist:
