Farmer's Life - Cultivating Dreams

We are getting closer to the full release of Farmer's Life.

Along our development path, we met players who, over time, formed a great community that is still active and thriving today! However, many of you probably know little about our beginnings. Here is a brief history of the creation of Farmer's Life.
Entry 1: Inception of the Seed (2019)
The journey of Farmer's Life began with a simple idea - to create a farming simulation game that would not only capture the essence of rural life but also provide players with an immersive and authentic farming experience. The team gathered around a shared passion for both gaming and agriculture, setting the foundation for what would become a labor of love.
Entry 2: Planting the Conceptual Seeds (start of 2020)
Initial brainstorming sessions involved sketching out the core gameplay mechanics and features. The team drew inspiration from classic farming games while also aiming to introduce innovative elements that would set Farmer's Life apart. Concepts like dynamic weather, realistic crop growth cycles, and a deep relationship system with NPCs took root during this phase.
Entry 3: Tilling the Technical Soil (mid 2020)
With a solid concept in place, the development team delved into the technical aspects of the game. Choosing the right engine, establishing an efficient workflow, and defining the art style were critical components. Unity was selected as the development platform, and a stylized, yet true-to-life art direction was chosen to create a visually appealing and charming world for players to explore.
Entry 4: Growing the Gameplay (End of 2020)
As the first playable builds emerged, the focus shifted to refining and expanding the gameplay. Crop planting, animal husbandry, and resource management systems were implemented and iterated upon. The team also experimented with different quest structures to keep the gameplay engaging and rewarding.
Entry 5: Weathering the Storms (start of 2021)
Testing became crucial during this phase, with the team ironing out bugs and adjusting game balance. The introduction of dynamic weather patterns added a layer of realism, creating a more immersive environment. Player feedback played a pivotal role in fine-tuning these systems.
Entry 6: Nurturing Community Feedback (mid 2021)
The decision to involve the community early on proved invaluable. Regular updates and community engagement through social media channels helped shape the game based on player preferences. Many features were added in response to the community's desire for a more social and customizable experience.
Entry 7: Harvesting the Fruits of Labor (5th of August 2021)
After months of dedication, Farmer's Life was ready for its initial release. The game offered players a chance to escape into a virtual countryside, where they could cultivate crops, raise animals, and build relationships with the in-game characters. The team celebrated the positive reviews and player testimonials, marking the successful harvest of their creative endeavors.

After that, we did not end our cooperation with players, but expanded it! We have delivered countless updates, and expanded, and improved the game. The culmination of this work will be on tomorrow's launch.
ALL ARE INVITED TO JOIN US IN THIS PRECIOUS MOMENT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Changes
- The game now saves its state MUCH faster than before. Especially those with larger cultivated fields will feel this improvement.
- Kerosene lamps now burn fuel. Remember to turn them off if they're not needed. Or switch to electric lighting.
- Trailers and wagons now have more effective brakes and won't roll down an incline without reason.
- A picked up distillery now returns all the fuel and mash (if it remained untouched).
- You can no longer "produce" honey by the method: place a beehive in the summer, collect honey, destroy the beehive, place it again, and repeat.
- From now on, Kazimierz has permission to build and electrify within his farm's area right from the start.
- Bales of hay/grass/wheat/oats/straw are now more spacious.
- The motorcycle's trunk has become more spacious, and the water pots in the kitchen and distilleries are larger.
- Seeds now take up significantly less space in the inventory.
- Barrels for liquids no longer fit in Kazimierz's pocket. They must be carried by hand or transported in another way.
- Barrels with liquids and fuel barrels are now much harder to tip over.
