Online multiplayer open beta now available!
Greetings, innkeepers!
After toiling away at it, we're proud to present the online multiplayer open beta. You can now share your adventures with up to three others, all playing remotely!
Keep in mind that bug-fixing will be ongoing during the beta process, so you may experience some errors as you play. With your help, we'll soon be able to launch the definitive version of the online mode, polished to perfection!
We also recommend making a backup copy of your save files to make sure that you don't lose any progress and can get it back at any moment during the beta.
Important: back up your game
You can find your game saves at C:\Users\YOUR USER\AppData\LocalLow\Louqou\TravellersRest. Make a copy of your save files in a different folder for safekeeping so you can get your progress back if needed!
The Load Game menu also has the option to duplicate your save file.

Once your game save is duplicated, you can play with no worries. We would greatly appreciate it if you notify us of any bugs you encounter. You can do so through our in-game bug report system, our Discord server, or our email .
If possible, attach the files "Player.log", "Player-prev.log" and the save file itself, which can all be found in the same folder (C:\Users\YOUR USER\AppData\LocalLow\Louqou\TravellersRest). This way, we'll have all the information we need to pinpoint the error!
How to access the beta
To play the open beta, go to the Travellers Rest page in your game library.

Once there, click on the cogwheel icon on the right and open the 'Properties' window.

Go to the fourth section, Betas, and in the Beta Participation dropdown select the one called "onlinebeta".

Once the update has finished downloading you'll have access to the beta.

Once you've finished the steps above, you'll have access to online multiplayer. In the game's title menu, select the Online Multiplayer option. You'll see two buttons, one to Host a game, and another to Join one.

To host an online game, select a saved game or create a new one. Once in-game, go to the pause menu, and you'll see the invite code in the top right corner of the screen.

Your friends type the code into the Join Online Game window, and voilà!
We hope you enjoy this update and have a lot of fun playing in online multiplayer mode with your friends!
