Planned Improvements for the Official Release
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the CosmicBreak Universal beta test.
Below, we will share a number of improvements and adjustments we are making based on the feedback we have received. We plan to implement these changes in time for the official release.
Usability Improvements
Leveling
-We have received feedback that character progression is a cumbersome process. Not only do players have to tune up equipment, but they must also level up their characters. We agree, and have decided that adjustments are necessary. In light of this, the amount of EXP now required to level up has been roughly halved.
-Previously, a character could not gain additional EXP at a level up until a cartridge was selected, and their level was raised. We are making adjustments so that EXP can be accumulated without leveling up. This will also be the case when using an [EXP Gain] item.
-The “Limit Remove” system will be removed. Previously, there were level caps at level 5 and level 8, but characters will now have level 10 as their level cap across the board.
Tutorial
We have received comments about a lack of tutorials. For the official release, we will be reimplementing the 3 Guardians Mate (during the beta test, they were temporarily removed due to an issue), and make adjustments so that the Mate system is easier to understand.
Other
-We will implement an indication for AM and HD parts that have a chance of being destroyed.
-We will implement an indication of whether a Wonder Bit’s efficiency will change based on STR or TEC values.
-We will make other miscellaneous usability improvements.
General Adjustments
Eternal Tune Ups
Previously, Eternal Tune Ups (now known as "High Eternal"), which prevent certain parts from being destroyed, were costly and not easily applied despite their importance. For this reason, we will make the following adjustments.
Eternal (new)
Detail: Prevents the destruction of the part to which it is applied.
Cost: 5
Base Chance of Success: 100%
High Eternal (updated from Eternal)
Details: Prevents the destruction of the part to which it is applied and increases HP.
Cost: 15
HP: +8
Base Chance of Success: 60%
Battle Campaign
We will be making some adjustments to the Battle Campaign, which offers different rewards based on a player’s Union Wars battle results.
During the beta test period, only the first 50 levels of rewards were made available, taking into account the short period of availability for the campaign. In the official release, we will provide 100 levels with plentiful rewards. Additionally, based on the data we collected during the beta test, we have decided to increase the amount of rewards across the board (not only for normal rewards and Battle Pass rewards). For example, we plan to increase the number of Robo Cubes and Garapon Tickets in the rewards, to increase opportunities to obtain characters.
We will also be making some adjustments to Battle Cards, including easing the upper limit of BP consumption from 4,500 BP, in order to provide players with more choices.
Garapon
The amount of Rt required for 20x rolls will be reduced.
Furthermore, we have received suggestions that there are too many prizes in the bronze and blue tiers, making it difficult to obtain a desired item. Therefore, we will reduce the number of items in the lineup for the bronze and blue tiers, increasing the probability of receiving a desired item.
Battle Rating System
Although we made adjustments to reduce performance disparities, disparities have nonetheless arisen due to factors like player skill and character progression. By introducing the Battle Rating system, we can make adjustments so players can enjoy battles that match their abilities.
Support Cartridges
We have confirmed that the survival rate of SUP types is abnormally high compared to other types. SUP type already deviates from the three-way deadlock relationship between LND, AIR, and ART types, and as such, we will remove "Guard Cartridges," which provide a net increase in survivability to SUP types (which, as mentioned, do not have a specific weakness in the first place), and replace them with different cartridges.
Capacity Disparities
We will implement changes so that when all "Capacity Up" and "Internal Weapon Enhancement" cartridges have been acquired, the difference in capacity will be nearly equal regardless of the core parts, and there will be equal opportunities for tuning up.
-M size and L size core parts in the same Cost range will be changed to have the same capacity.
-S size will have slightly less capacity than the M and L sizes.
-Core parts that had a low capacity in the beta test will also benefit from this change.
-Certain core parts may have increased capacity in exchange for having lower parameters.
-Certain characters (such as humanoids with limited customization) may have a large capacity.
Other Changes
-The KDJ will be moved to the Resort Area.
-Additional miscellaneous adjustments are planned.
If you made it this far, thank you so much for taking the time to read this enormous post.
We hope to see you when CosmicBreak Universal officially launches!
